Winterlicious 2023 prix fix menu — enjoyable three-course French served in a romantic venue. Our starters were the stars (fried calamari, French onion soup) while the mains fell a bit flat. Salmon Wellington was cooked well but nothing on the plate really left an impression, the duck was overall the more enjoyable dish in my opinion. Dessert was great as well, we had carrot cake and the pudding which was delicious. We’ve been here before and felt like the prix fix menu could use an update but overall very enjoyable and a lovely place for date night.

We had a lovely dinner in this romantic restaurant. I had the famous French onion soup while my wife enjoyed the Brie. We enjoyed both! The salmon was lovely and the chicken with peaches was delicious. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Surprisingly quiet for a Saturday night as there were quite a few empty tables in the restaurant. We got the escargot and french onion soup to start, then the classic coq au vin and smoked duck breast for our entrées. The service was generally good, except we found a piece of hair in our glass of water. The food was good as I expected but nothing to be excited about either.

We came here after work as a group, it was a Thursday night and the place was a bit empty. The service was great and quick, staff was very friendly and welcoming. We ordered a few appetizers for the table such as tuna tartare, shrimps and baked brie cheese, which tasted delicious!!!I had steak and fries for main, my colleagues had different dishes and everyone enjoyed their meal.It looks like it could be a nice place for a romantic dinner, if you are looking for one.

All of our starters, mains and desserts were terrific. Starters/mains & desserts were each served together. The waiter was “down to earth” friendly and efficient - he frequently checked that we had water, pop/coffee/alcohol refills and once to see how our meals were. Never overbearing, but always attentive. A restaurant can’t do much better than this.

Cute place. Been around forever. Nice to have a French resto in the downtown area. Service was supremely slow and the food was lacking in taste. Maybe a smoker in the back who was afraid to salt the food. Would try it again just to make sure it wasn’t an off day. Prices are reasonable. I want it to be better hence the “one more try”.

Came here on a Saturday night, we had reservations for 6pm. The restaurant didn’t seem busy, when I walked in through the door I was greeted by the bartender who told me the hostess would be with me in a bit, ended up waiting for a while for her to finish her chat with a table. After waiting awkwardly at the front door for the hostess (which never came) a waiter finally took the initiative to direct me to my seating.Honestly I did not have high hopes for the food after reading the reviews and was not shocked after tasting it. Every dish that came out was cold and lacked flavour and salt. The appetizers came out so fast it was a little sketchy. What we ordered:French Onion SoupsDeep Fried BrieEscargotSmoked Duck BreastBoeuf BourguignonBouillabaisseSteal and FriesCassouletThe Deep Fried Brie was cold and tasted like regular mozzarella sticks at a pub, the Escargot lacked so much flavour. There was no garlic butter taste at all! The Smoked Duck Breast tasted like holiday ham and it was a super small portion. The beef in the Beef Stew was dry and the rice was al dente, Steak and fries were SALTY and the best thing in the Cassoulet was the piece of pork belly it came with. The only things that was good was the Bouillabaisse and French onion soup. 2 stars for the waiter that was super friendly and honest and the cocktail my cousin ordered. We also had a birthday cake ($2.50) fee per person.

Great location. Street or structure parking. Small patio but with huge indoor seating. Staff are very friendly. Love their food! Must try their duct confit and French onion soup.

Went for dinner on my own as I am new to the city. My server was amazing. He recommended the duck as my main and it was absolutely delicious!! Would go back for sure!
