I can't even begin to explain how much we loved The Tignish Heritage Inn! It's gorgeous! The gardens are stunning. The interior is humongous with wide hallways, wide staircases and all these interesting/creepy nooks and crannies you can poke your nose into. Don't bother to take photos in the hallways - they all come out with lens flares/orbs. Our room was enormous with super high ceilings, giant windows and freshly renovated floors and paint. Everything was spotless and very quiet - with the exception of the bathroom fan. That thing was a tractor! ;)The young lady at the front desk was lovely. She was efficient and friendly during check-in. She recommended a delicious restaurant for dinner (Our Family Traditions) and answered all our annoying tourist questions with a smile. The inn is a short drive to the western coast where you'll find lighthouses, a windfarm and a lovely boardwalk that creeps along the beach. This might be the best inn we've stayed in during our 2023 road trip vacation - and we've stayed in a lot of charming places on both sides of the border. We'd definitely stay there again and would highly recommend it to anyone headed out toward the west side of PEI.The only drawback was the onsite café. I wanted to love it as I was head over heels in love with everything else in this entire place - and the café staff were wonderful and bent over backward to serve us - but I just couldn't.The menu is very limited - which wasn't at all an issue as we aren't fussy - but the food was also very limited and came with a great, big price tag. We ordered a breakfast wrap and a breakfast sammy". We both had coffee. Each sandwich was $8.99

Great 17 room Inn in the heart of Tignish. Lots of various common spaces like a large kitchen, sitting area and conference room. Beautiful gardens adjacent the inn. Rooms have been recently renovated and were quite charming.

We had a lovely stay. It was very quiet and the bed was comfortable. The place has been beautifully renovated. There is a coffee/tea station available in the kitchen area. The breakfast was basic (fresh bread for toast, bananas, banana bread, cereals, juices, boiled eggs). Thank you Colleen!

This old gal needs a ton of TLC. The rooms are tossed together such that the fridge blocks you from getting to the bed, the light in the bathroom is attached to the fan and the fan roars like a 747 so you can't even hear another person speak while it's on which means if you want quiet or want to hear what someone else is saying you have use the bathroom in the dark. There are no extras like coffee in the room or a kettle for tea so come prepared (there was a hairdryer but it didn't work and we did get supplied with a new one). And no water pressure to speak of so you pretty much have to stand directly under the shower head. Their advertising is good though!

Stayed here on a cycling tour and they could not have been better! Very helpful with getting us settled in and offering local advice. It is historic as it used to be a nunnery! The rooms are elegant and very comfortable, but the reason for the 4 stars is that there is no AC. In high heat, it would be uncomfortable. The onsite cafe offers an excellent breakfast!

Clean and comfortable and close to the trail. The new cafe serves a delicious breakfast (and lunch) and was an added bonus.

Such a unique and charming place. Great service and friendly people. Can’t wait to go back! Huge conference room would make for a great business meeting venue.

Super comfortable, best service on the island and great food at the cafe downstairs. Generally a great stay, experience, and beautiful garden; all while still being simple and easy.

Comfortable bed, clean rooms, quiet inn, good breakfast. Service was excellent. A great place to start your cycling trip of the Confederation Trail and if you’re in a group, the common areas are inviting and very cozy.
