Give this place a MISS.They still make customers line up in the alley outside like dogs. Then they have a snarky little sign on their door that says “Knock OR call OR ring — DON’T DO ALL THREE.” Because customers with money are so bloody troublesome, right?! Maybe they’d be more patient if you let them into the store.The selection inside is gorgeous, but the sales staff is rude, rolling their eyes at every question. I’ve been here twice, but I’ll be going to Sportchek from now on. To hell with this place.

Yesterday I came in to buy my figure skate, I was so impressed with the service and the knowledge of the employee they were kinda and welcoming and helpful me understand a lot about more skating then I realized I haven’t had such good customer service like this in my whole life, I will definitely be coming back

Been recommending this place for years but it’s not the big box experience, this a specialty store however they’re NOT arrogant.The staff are knowledgeable and attentive, which can become an issue if you want help and the place is busy, but either be patient (take a number by the skate sharpening booth) or go in the off peak hours.If the staff are serving you, you have their undivided attention and the absolute BEST guidance in Ottawa hands down. They do not up sell, they’re focused on value for money and your satisfaction.Prices are extremely fair for the quality brands and models they sell (this isn’t Canadian Tire or SportsCheck). They will get you into the best product for your needs and skill level.You can also get previous years models of elite or pro-level gear at discounted prices, and because they’re a hidden gem, they may have those in demand sizes after other places have sold out and at a lower price.Last but not least is the Pro Shop which is is full service including heat moulding, punching, profiling, runners, holders etc. By far the best skate sharpening in Ottawa.

Brought in some brand new Bauer skates to heat mold and sharpen. I was in 1.5hrs before close & they said next day at 11am to pick up... They also said they're not heat moldable, which the product page says they are. So I took them to Pro hockey life, they laughed when I told them about figure8 and popped them in the oven for free & sharpened within 10 mins. Maybe they know better about figure skates, just gonna stick to PHL.

Decent enough store with a good selection, but do your research first. Their prices are much higher than other places and they do not offer price matching. I learned the hard way and paid $100 more for a pair of inline skates than I had to. No willingness to work out a deal either.

Bought my rollerblades here two years ago during the pandemic. They were nice enough to allow me to try them on before purchasing. I decided to come here as a way to support local instead of big box stores. Overall pleased with my purchase and the service I received.

I made an order with them, 4 days after delivery was supposed to be made still nothing from them. I tried contacting them by phone and by mail and they NEVER answer. Extremely poor experience.
