Island Tides Fishing Lodge

Steve and his entire team were excellent and worked extremely hard to make sure it was a great experience for everyone involved. The lodge is clean and well located. The food was very well prepared and ample. Definitely suggest anyone looking to fish the northwest coast of the island enquire about availability.

Fished with Island Tides on June 25-27/18 and the guide that Steve set us up with was Garry.Thanks Garry;me and Mike had a blast and hopefully next spring your wife let's you come out and play and would love to fish with you again.Steve is great to deal with and is very organized,they fed us well and took care of all the small stuff,over all this was a great trip as we traveled from Edmonton to Zeballos by truck.Top notch operation from Steve,the cook,guide and the way our catch was packaged.Thank you so muchAndrew Spencer

Just Fun! Good food, comfortable beds and good fishing.

Steve's place is lovely and I can't recommend it highly enough. The road to zeballos is an old logging road and the town itself doesn't have a big appeal to most people which works totally in your favour - the minute you get out on Steve's boat you have the whole place to yourself. It's like Tofino but more stunning scenery with black bears, humpbacks and sea otters a plenty.Steve is super knowledgable about the area as he's been there for such a long time and has some great insight. His lodge is beautiful and you will feel right at home the minute you get in. And as a bonus you can see black bears fishing in the creek from thw back deck.I went to experience a sea otter watching tour and we saw loads! The best place on Vancouver Island to see them and you get a great small group experience on Steve's boat. Would highly recommend it.

Absolutely epic fishing experience! Wonderfully skilled, kind, personable Captains. Caught everything from HUGE halibut, Chinook Salmon, Coho Salmon, Chum Salmon, ling cod, rock fish, black bass. Some to keep, others set free. So much fun learning all the tricks of the trade with such great people.The Lodge offered great accommodation with such a social, engaging atmosphere. The house cook was exceptional and the food outstanding. Such gracious hosts and this fishing experience far exceeded our expectations. Can’t wait to come back; simply fabulous!
