I started volunteering for the Massey Area Museum this year and, the more I learn about this community, the more I want to learn! If you live in the area or are from here, you'll want to visit the new building. If you have NO CONNECTIONS to this town, you would still find the collection of artefacts fascinating as they represent all of Northern Ontario's heritage.

Massey Area Museum
The Massey Area Museum is a gem in the town of Massey. If you're travelling between Sault Ste. Marie and Sudbury, make sure you take a break and take a tour. Their collection of heritage artifacts is astounding, they have a great little gift shop and all the tourist information information you need.

The Massey Museum is a truly surprising museum with a collection that will amaze! We were thrilled to spend a morning there while stopping over the night...so much to the galleries and we received a truly informative tour from the exceptionally friendly director and her volunteers. Highly recommend!

Dropped in and was very pleasantly surprised at the number of exhibits and depth of information available. Very well organized and helpful staff will answer any questions. Ask for their self guided tour binder. Spent about 1.5 hours taking in the displays. $5.00 entry fee. A real bargain!

Massey Area Museum
First museum which I found open for visitors after pandemic.This is small museum which has a lot of artifacts from this area based on logging industry which was very important in the past.There is also artifacts from about the life in this town and around.This museum is worth to visit and learn about history and life in this area.
