If I could give a negative star, I would. I no longer go to this branch as there are long lines and the staff are both unfriendly and particularly unhelpful. This has been my experience several times. I was there last month and the teller kept telling me that I should know how lines of credit work. My inside voice wanted to suggest to him that his skillset was not customer service. Never going to this Scotia again.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. If you want to feel like a bank cares about you, you DO NOT WANT TO GO HERE.Set up an appointment with Tiffany. When we arrived she stated she didn’t remember scheduling an appointment with us. I showed her the confirmation email SHE SENT with the date and time. After the appointment it took her two weeks to follow up. This was a time sensitive matter, turns out she was on vacation, but she didn’t designate anyone for us to contact for questions.When she did finally contact us back she was rude and not solution based. We asked for information and follow up and still have yet to hear from her, even after phoning and sending multiple emails. We have put in a complaint in and will hope to get the information we are looking for.Unfortunately after reading all the negative reviews I don’t believe management or the complaint department will help rectify this.Once again stay away. The reviews are true.

Becky is amazing. I would do 6 stars if possible. Speak to her about mortgages, loans, etc. Becky has great advice and will help you make a good decision. She is the best banker I have ever dealt with at any bank.Keep up the great work!

I would like to commend Mr. Peter Ku at downtown Scotiabank ! Peter looked after our mortgage renewal and has also very patiently answered many “ old guy “ questions I have thrown his way . He is very friendly and always very quick to answer my emails and phone messages ! It is always a pleasant surprise these days to encounter someone so diligent. Thanks for everything Peter ! Scotiabank and it’s customers are very lucky to have you .

We had a terrible experience here. Between mortgage, and our entire folio we have had to switch branches 3 times, we NEVER get called back. We have tried to speak with Management, but they dont seem to care. And recently, my husband has been trying to call and left FOUR messages over the course of 2 weeks and we still havent been called back! I am not sure What Head office of Scotia Bank is doing, but their management in branch is out of control. No one seems to care!! RUN!! Go to a credit union!

Stay far away from this branch and the company overall. I am dumbfounded with the level of customer service provided.Reading through the horror stories on here I am not hopeful the several attempts I made to get an email, call or anything back from theAdvisor I was working with. I too was dealing with Tiffany.I have escalated my complaint to the customer experience manager. Whom I’ve called several times left messages for and have not heard back.Due to this experience my wife and I will be cancelling our account and taking our business elsewhere.Stay far far away from scotia bank. And take any positive reviews on here with a large grain of salt.

Would give this zero stars if I could. As a bank, Scotiabank clearly does not care about their customers. I closed my account and to get the remainder of the money/refund back in my account took me four months, 10 hours of total phone calls and four days off work to deal with them in person to go in the bank. Every time I went it was evident that not a single person had read my chart and moreover, they try to charge me extra for something that was clearly demonstrate. All in all, one should literally go to any other bank in Canada other than the incompetent, lazy, non customer centered service at scotiabank and especially at this branch. I dealt with both Ruby and Huma both of whom were only at best marginally helpful and at worst very rude and dismissive.

I have to contact them many times for simple changes/issues. I have to follow up to get a reply from them. I have to do this every time I need something from them.I'm looking into switching to a bank where it doesn't take a month to make an appointment to set up additional accounts or change signing authority.
