I recently became a patient of Heritage Family Dental in January 2023 and had a really great experience with Dr. Katelyn Colwell and all of the staff at Heritage Dental. Dr. Colwell was very friendly and explained everything in terms I could understand and answered all my questions! The building is also great as it is an old heritage building with high ceilings and lots of natural light. I highly recommend Heritage Family Dental.

Last spring I unexpectedly had a chunk of a tooth break off while on a brief visit to Nelson. I hardly expected to get an appointment on such short notice, but Dr. Comartin kindly fit me in on an emergency basis, and did an excellent stopgap repair (for a more than reasonable price to boot), which held me over very nicely until I got back home. Both Dr. Comartin and the staff were very friendly and helpful. (The building is also one of Nelson's little architectural gems.) Highly recommended!

First time client, and I am so happy I found this clinic. The atmosphere is very welcoming, and it’s a beautiful building. Every staff member I interacted with was very friendly and helpful. My dental hygienist, Christina, was gentle and thorough with the cleaning. She took time to educate me on oral health things specific to me, which I appreciated quite a lot. Dr Paul was great as well! I felt heard when I discussed my concerns, and confident that I was in good hands. I am looking forward to my future teeth cleanings and dental work.

I spend a lot more time with hygienists than I do with the dentist so this is mostly a review for Dallas; hygienist extraordinaire. My dad was a dentist so I have had regular oral care over the years and I have seen a lot of different hygienists in BC and AB. I was very impressed with Dallas, he was very thorough but gentle at the same time. My teeth felt squeaky clean at the end of it without feeling like I'd been roughed up. He was friendly and efficient with his time. I appreciate getting in and out as quickly as possible. Overall I would put him in my top two of favourite hygienists. Ramona and Leah at the front desk were also a delight to deal with. I look forward to my next polish!

Went to Heritage Dental after reading the reviews, I haven’t had luck finding a dental office that I’m comfortable with. I was booked in with Dr. Kate Colwell and I couldn’t be happier, she explains everything she’s doing and was kind and patient dealing with me. Her assistant is incredible as well and front staff are friendly and accommodating. Dr. Colwell even called me the next day to see how I was doing, she’s amazing and I’ll use this dental office always.Thank you Heritage Dental, truly top notch!

Beautiful building, wonderful staff, gentle cleaning and thorough, and experienced hygenists and dentists. Great experience all around!I haven't had my teeth cleaned for two years because of the pandemic and the restrictions in the UK. I wasn't looking forward to a check up and cleaning as the last one was pretty uncomfortable. But they were so gentle and careful that it was actually fairly relaxing. I'm looking forward to going back in six months. What a great clinic. I look forward to having them maintain my teeth for years to come.

Really appreciated Dr. Kate and Michelle's care and compassion. They talked me through an extraction step by step. It was done pain-free and very professionally. There is a lovely respect shared among colleagues in this dental office.
