So in love with this little shop. I came in originally to have my 1920 wedding dress altered. I bought it because the lace was so beautiful but the cap sleeves and collar line did not fit. There was a two inch gap between my body and the top of this dress. Allison was able to alter it to fit perfectly without ruining the lace pattern. I keep coming back for their selection of vintage clothes. All my favorite pieces are from here.

Allison is beyond amazing at what she does! She made my wedding dress fit so perfectly and made me feel so beautiful that I’ll never be able to thank her enough for all that she did. She is so personable, goes the extra mile and gets everything completed in a timely manner. She’s magical in her work and very accommodating. If you need a person for alterations, she’s your lady!

Hook & Eye / Allison are alteration angels. I had a ceremony and reception dress and there was a mix up with the ceremony dress--I didn't get it until 2 weeks before the date!! Allison went above and beyond any expectations and was able to complete the alterations AMAZINGLY & created a custom piece to cover my shoulders during the ceremony && got me my dress completed a week before the wedding. I cannot recommend her alterations services enough--knowing that the alterations were in her hands kept me sane during that very stressful time!

I always go to Hook & Eye for my alterations. Recently Allison tailored my wedding dress and it is PERFECT! I gave her a challenge with cutting off a lot of length, making it smaller sized, and moving all the details up the dress and she made it look amazing.Just make sure to give yourself some time and book ahead, Allison does get busy!

My wedding dress fit like a glove thanks to Hook&Eye! Delicate lace and beading was taken care of so well, and I even learned to bustle once the buttons were added. No one could tell they weren’t original to the dress!
