The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. I hadn't been canoeing in years and my husband had never been. The were patient while reminding me what I was doing lol. We took the canoe, two paddles, two pdfs and a map. Price was fair and they even had cold beer available or us which was great after a 4 days paddle.

Extremely polite and courteous staff that were informative and knowledgeable about any questions we had. They have everything you need to canoe into Algonquin, but unfortunately they didn't have any maps, the one thing i needed when i came back because my phone got waterdamaged when i fell into a beaver bog.Still 5 stars though because who has maps anymore anyway?

I was recently at Voyageur with a group of Boy Scouts who own our own canoes. On our way out we had an issue with one, and the staff at Voyageur could not have been more helpful. They came out to our canoe performed the repair and refused payment. This made an excellent impression on me and the Scouts.

Take your business elsewhere. These guys are cheats, liars and bad to customers. Go to Swift canoe, Northern Edge Outfitters, or Northern Wilderness Outfitters around the corner. Those guys have better rates and include a lot more. Plus treat you with respect.My first warning that this outfitter is one I should stay away from is when I called to reserve a canoe for my trip. They said to use the website to reserve, which I couldn't on my phone at the time.I showed up the next day and told them I needed a canoe and told (who I think is the owner) the date I need the canoe until. He said that was a 2 night rental. So I assumed I would be charged 2 nights. When I returned the exact same man said the bill was already sent to my email. I asked what the total charge was and he stated it was for 3 days, not 2!!! I was only gone for 48 hours! I brought up that he stated I would be only charged for 2 days and he said he was mistaken when he told me that. He said he couldn't do anything about it" and "whats done is done".What kind of business model is this? Swindling the customer. False advertising! If you give me a rate

BEWARE. TERRIBLE CANOE RENTAL EXPERIENCE!Some friends and I went for a camping trip and because of unforeseen circumstances ended up renting a canoe from Voyageur Quest. The staff member was friendly - at first. He told us the price of $37 for the rental and that upon return we can just hang it on the wash rack in the back if no one was here. He rushed me through the paperwork and took and imprint of my credit card and had me sign it. There was no reason to not trust him at this point.The next day, when we came back from our trip, him and a younger staff member were at the shop. After returning the the canoe in the back, we got pulled into the office under pretences that my credit card did not go thru. In fact, what was happening was they had change the price and claimed that it was 2-Day rental now and the price has now ballooned to $85.88?? Seriously!When we confronted the gentlemen that had rented us the canoe, his demeanour changed from friendly to aggressive and accusative. Calling us ‘unreasonable’ to think we can rent a canoe for less than that. However twisting the fact that he gave us the price!!Honestly being worried about his sudden change in behaviour, I was forced into paying. All of this seems just like a tourist trap and they just wanted more money. Also at every step of the way, he failed to provide us with copies of the paperwork and at the end they nearly squeezed out of printing the receipt.So be ware of this place they are extremely unprofessional and unfriendly. I have since cancelled my credit card.

What a great experience. They helped us with our canoes right away. This is a PERFECT place to launch of your traveling to north tea lake!! Great staff. Friendly, and curtious. We will be back again!

Jacked Up Price when Returning CanoeThe owner of the shop named a price when we picked up the canoe, charged my friend's credit card, and told us to just put the canoe on the wash racks when we return.However, when we came back, they pulled us into the shop and said that the credit card didn't go through. Being the nice and trusting person my friend is, he handed over his credit card. The amount they are charging now has more than doubled. When we asked for clarification from the owner, he said that this is the going rate and our 'expectation is unrealistic'. What is more terrifying is that the fun, nature-loving facade that he had on retracted to reveal the face a greedy, dishonest businessman. His face literally changed on a dime.My friend has since cancelled his credit card to prevent further cash grabs from these folks. After reading other terrible reviews of this place - yeah, that's a smart move.What a sour ending to an otherwise beautiful canoe trip.------------------------------------Response to owner's reply:Our dissatisfaction is NOT what your rate is, but the fact that you gave us a price when we rented and jacked up that price when we returned. You were fully aware that we were returning it the next day. What's worse, you pulled us into the shop under the pretence that 'the credit card didn't go through'. You use a credit card imprinter, how does that not go through?! IMHO, that's a very dishonest way of conducting business.

I just did the 3 day log cabin adventure and it was the highlight of my summer! The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and the food was delicious! I loved going canoeing. Seeing the sunrise on the water in a canoe was breathtaking. It was everything I was looking for, a little bit of activity and a little relaxation surrounded by the beauty of nature. Evan and Molly thank you for making my trip so enjoyable!

Another trip, another fantastic experience with Voyageur Quest. We can’t thank the team enough for assisting in facilitating a wonderful back country fishing trip. Their professionalism, guidance and support made everything that much easier for us and we can’t thank them enough. Until next time!

I just returned from my third canoe trip through North Tea Lake, and I again rented from Voyageur. I've always found the staff knowledgable and friendly. This time I made some last minute alterations to our reservation; service was hassle-free, and I was pleasantly surprised to find and credit on my Visa statement when I got back to the city.
