Very well done with lots of things to learn. From Movies to how the town came to be. The ladies are very knowledgeable and helpful. One must stop here when coming to town.

Fascinating displays but the highlight is the 50 minute film that puts the history of the area in context. The scandals, successes, courage, and failures make for a fascinating story. The artifacts are well displayed and the sole museum staff member very knowledgeable and helpful.A must see stop on Stewart.

There is a 50 minute film that documents the rise and fall of Stewart, BC through the scandals and tragedies. There are many artifacts throughout the museum showing the logging, mining, and gold rush implements. An interesting corner gives some details on the nearby Broken Arrow" incident. This is a worthwhile and interesting investment in time if in the are. Payment by donation."

This is a full day experience. The museum is on 2 floors and is not huge but there is so much good information. Mrs. Rosichuk the curator has so much information to share. She has also trained her staff very well. Well worth a visit.

Shirley is probably the most knowledgeable and accommodating docent you will encounter. The museum is packed with memorabilia of the people who chose to come to Stewart over the decades to search for gold, and the people who came to support the miners with essential services and materials. Beautiful area - you can smell the ocean from here. Worth the detour.

This is a fabulous little museum. Take the tour if you can. Our host was excellent and very knowledgeable about the area generally including the history of the mining industry around Stewart. It is one of the best museum tours we have had anywhere, including a tour of the Vatican museum we took about a month ago. It is quite a testament to what this little place can do. Don’t miss it.

Had a great time visiting this little museum. Not a lot of exhibits but they are the ones they have are quality and take lots of time to look through. The movie they show you at the beginning is excellent too and worth watching all of it. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. Spend a couple hours here if you are in Stewart.

Me and my family stopped at Stewart's Historical Museum on our journey down the Stuart Cassiar this summer, was one of our favourite places that we went! The museum is so organized, the curator(I believe) was extremely knowledgeable in the area and in its history. I loved all of her stories, she was also very good at making the kids enjoy themselves. Definitely worth a stop!
