Heritage House Dental

I have appointments every 4 months at this Heritage House Dental. The staff is amazing, very courteous and accommodating. I found everyone very professional and a pleasure to deal with. I will recommend this place to anyone I known.

I have been a patient at Heritage House Dental for about 6 years. Around 2018 I started experiencing an intense pain on the right side of my mouth while chewing. It would shock my entire mouth, head and body. Stop me in my tracks with overwhelming pain. I could hear a crunching noise and almost felt like my tooth was moving. I brought this up to my dentist who I will not name but a dentist I thought seemed extremely caring and competent. For years I was told it could be exposed enamel, my gums, was asked to switch to sensodyne toothpaste among other suggestions. In-between visits I would suffer with this issue for 5 years, I paid attention to the source of the pain and narrowed it down to the tooth. In February 2023 I was told it was a small cavity. In April 2023 it felt like my mouth was going to explode and went in via emergency appointment and they sent me to a Dental Surgeon at the Winston Churchill location who with a simple dye treatment on the tooth revealed it was completely cracked in half almost to the root!! It was a relief and completely devastating to see. For 5 years I lived in immense pain when a simple dye would have revealed the true issue. I take full responsibility for not going to another clinic for a 2nd opinion. I fell into a sense of trust and comfort due to their clean office and friendly staff. The dentist who treated me seems like a kind person but I cannot overlook how this supposedly knowledgeable and competent staff didn't bother to rule out a crack tooth for 5 years!! Especially with the symptoms I was explaining to them! I could hear the sound and felt the pain on that tooth, I went into extreme detail. I am an accountant and auditor and I tried to provide them with all of the information they needed. A complete let down and a lesson I will never forget. Do not let appearances and friendly smiles lull you into a sense of comfort, YOU need to take control of your health. Go get a 2nd opinion and do not put your complete trust into any one clinic. They are great if you need a teeth cleaning but as mentioned by others anything more complicated and serious be ready to seek a 2nd opinion etc.. In February I asked if I should up my Insurance for Dental as the new year begins April 1st 2023, at the time I was told it was a small cavity and advised to see a specialist. I didn't see the specialist in the time frame, would have had a 2 week window to do so and at the time I still had trust in the dentist and believed it was a small cavity not a tooth that was cracked in half to the root almost. Now I am in a horrible position of having to potentially pay out of pocket almost $1k plus suffering through most meals for 5 years. For anyone reading this the main take away is that yoy have to be proactive and never give your full trust to any dentist or medical professional as they are subject to human error and will miss things even ones as painful, serious and hindsight easy to detect with a simple pack of dye. Dr Lauren was very friendly and accommodating and went through very detailed and thorough explanations of my check up, something i find to be quite uncommon. I truly appreciate and recommend the service and care her and her team provided and despite being afraid of dental treatment i look forward to going back!

My kids had great experiance with heritage house dental. All doctors are well experianced. I am very satisfied with them.

The staff and dentists here are all incredibly adept at accommodating families with young children. Our 4 year old recently had to get fillings and there was not a single tear shed. And my son had a decent time as well.

It was my toddlers first time at the dentist. It couldn’t have been a better experience. Looking forward to more dentist visits.

I've yet to come across a place with more efficient admin! They took me in last minute for my dental extractions, were super quick through the appointment process, insurance claims and taking me in. And of course, Dr. Shevket did the entire procedure with such finesse! I'm still in recovery but I had to post this review with the great experience as a whole.
