My experiences have been REALLY BAD SEVERAL OCCASIONS for my physical medical experience and mental health issue.Had to go to Toronto for my physical issues and found poison from leaky gull bladder problems and fibromyalgia symptoms from Medication . The Sudbury programs from HSN for mental health are Mood groups and Changing Behaviours which are poorly designed and instructed with repetition and lack of progression to succeed.VERY DISSAPPOINTING SERVICES

I was scheduled for an in person assessment appointment on Tuesday. I left in plenty of time because I was coming from Mindemoya and wanted to allow for any surprises. I got 2 phone calls from my “case worker” but couldn’t hear him thru the car’s system. Told him I would find a place to pull over. Had to park on the shoulder of the highway. Was almost to Sudbury by this time. Even though I was almost there, he decided he was saving me time by canceling the appointment because I had access to help here. I explained that I wanted to see who I could establish a rapport with. When I said I would have appreciated the call on the previous Friday he said the office had been closed. I told him I was very upset but he was very off handed about it. Sorry and all that. No wonder people want to do sad things if this is what we have in the north. I am very happily going to seek help here and I’m grateful we have services.

Left here crying with no help years ago, as I could hear staff speaking about me condescendingly. I would rather die than return. I need help today but refuse to go back here.

They do not take you in as a priority unless you have a gun to your head. I have been waiting for outpatient treatments for months and even after going to the hospital due to feeling as if I could not take care of myself, I was told to meditate or go outside and kept on the waiting list for outpatient programs. Sudbury does not have the proper help for treatment unless you are about to harm yourself. I’d suggest heading elsewhere for immediate help because they simply cannot provide it.

It’s good that this is available but when I was looking for help with addiction, they were quite rude with me. The time schedule was impossible for me to attend and I didn’t end up getting the help I needed. Others may have a better experience

They didn't help at all, and then made a appointment for me for a psychiatrist and blamed me for the doctor not showing up. 0/10If your in a crisis go to a clinic or hospital instead!

Not helpful at all. How this place is still recommended is beyond reason.

Have mixed feelings about this place. Not many services in this city. This clinic means well, but seems to be plagued by traditional clinic models/beuratratic models that are ultimately ablelist. Had to visit a family member who was unwell overseas, and notified them. Returned home to the clinic to be asked to politely leave pretty much and lost my position in the group, for the second time. For an organization that claims to practice harm reduction

They are all useless and they won't help you. Half of them shouldn't even work in a place like this

Given the current state of mental illness in this city, there should be more help available for those who are seeking it. When I brought my loved one here, all they did was provide them with a phone number to call for services that (might I add weren’t available when called during a weekday) and to visit their family doctor. Why is it called a “crisis centre”? Does a person have to walk in with a gun to their head to get help right away??? What about those who are finally going to get help after years of being begged by a family member??? All they’re given is a phone number instead of talk therapy!!! Just horrible!!!!!! Given the fact that these reviews are quite negative, maybe it’s a sign that something needs to change? Maybe these people need a wake up call! What if it was their family member??
