No because I’ve never been to a salon before knowing full well I’ll be coming back. I had the pleasure of being serviced by Samantha today and she was very skilled. I loved the bits of advice she gave to me about how to care for my hair, and the cut and style itself. My inspo pic was a bit unattainable due to length but she made it work for me in the best way possible. I am very pleased and am looking forward to coming back in a couple months.

I had my hair cut and blow dried and styled. The only stylist I trust to cut my hair is Maria. She does a fantastic job. Always to my utmost satisfaction. I’m driving 120 km to Hamilton to get my hair done. Never been disappointed.

This place has a discriminatory screening process were they try to find out your economic status by using intrusive questions. I tried to book an appointment with Sam as my friends recommended her. I was asked to send in photos of what I wanted, which I did. Then I was asked to fill out a form asking me about my budget and what kind of product brand I used. This is clearly and attempt to sell products by finding out how much money they can make off me. I filled out the form. Then it said I needed to provide credit card info. Then I was asked to come in for a consultation even after providing photos of myself and exactly in the hair I wanted. I said I didn’t need to consult as I showed it in a photo of me and I was fine with the pricing. I already knew who I wanted to do my hair as I had seen if on my friend. They told me they had no one who could help me after extracting all this information and seeing photos of me. This is not customer service based but seller self service and discriminatory behaviour to weed out whom they are giving service to.

I recently had a wonderful experience at Silvana's for a wax and hair cut. Maria was amazing and gave me the best haircut I've ever had, including cutting my bangs which I'm really picky about, and was gentle with a bikini wax. Maria also spent a lot of time discussing the Aveda hair and Yon-ka skin products with me and I love the purchases I made. Will definitely return again and again!

Maria is the best! She always give me a great cut and color! And the salon is a very friendly, comfortable place to be.

Maria did a wonderful job, I got highlights done along with a nice hair cut. She styled my hair into soft curls and it looked so amazing.

I visit Silvana's twice a year for hair straightening: it is always such a pleasure. Samantha is a friendly, excellent technician.The Salon is clean, bright and they have great products!

Silvana’s Hair Salon is my favourite space for a fantastic super short pixie cut.First, the scalp and shoulder massage is outstanding. Samantha’s massage technique is thoroughly therapeutic. It is not just a few minutes of finger pressure; it is an intense, prolonged application of knowledgeable and focused power. The message feels like a main event, not just a preface or an afterthought.Then there is the cut. Once again, one feels Samantha’s precise experience. This stylist knows the magic that a razor and scissors can produce. I leave feeling more beautiful than I imagined I would.Sylvana’s hair salon is for me. I appreciate the hard working, transparent, skilled stylists who completely lack pretension or guile. They know they are skilled and take pride in delivering it to their clients. I have absolutely no reservations about recommending them.
