Amazing place to go and near of Jean-Talon Marche. The food is great and I just don't give 5 stars because it was a bit slow. Sushi is not as American or either as I'm used to. But was one of the best ones that I've tried here.

My friend and I went to this shop last week and omg, their fish is so fresh! We couldn’t get enough of their salmon and tuna sashimi!!! It melts in your mouth! Do not underestimate this shop! You will have an amazing experience with them! Also, we shared a box of 16 pieces of sushi (Royal) and surprisingly, we received 4 extra pieces! You guys made our day! The service is amazing. Thank you so much the staff of Nanami :)

First time to this little restaurant and we had a very good experience. The sashimi was fresh and tasty. The food has a good balance of flavour. The price is reasonable. The service is friendly. Overall, my husband and I recommend it!Seems to have lot of ppl take out and a bit of waiting time, but worth the wait.

The best sushi I’ve had! The chefs and host were the sweetest and it gave me the best experience. The deluxe sushi plate made me discover new kinds of sushis and was absolutely PERFECT. I am super full and happy!

Happy to have a decent sushi place in our neighbourhood. Everything we tried was great. Rolls are very creative and plating is beautiful. So far, It's the best sushi place in Montréal I've gone to.

This place is fantastic! The server and the chef were incredibly nice to us! They even offered is a few pieces of sushi while we were waiting for our main meal! (And it was delicious we ended up ordering an actual portion too!) We ordered a salmon poke bowl, the fish and the greens were so fresh! I have no words to describe how amazing the food, vibe and service was! Of all the sushi I've tried in Montreal, this is now my number one spot!

Service was above and beyond any sushi place I’ve been to.Ordered takeout 22 pc combo, chef gave 25.While I waited for the order, chef served me a unique creative sampler that wasn’t even on the menu (deep fried sushi with crab, avocado, sweet potato, topped with a delicious sauce).Love to see service like this, 1 of a kind place

Update 2022: we’re finally back after 3 years and we were greeted and treated like royalty to a spectacular (and bountiful) meal. Thank you Raoul, Irin and Nam! It was so delicious and you made us feel so welcome.Original review from 2019: Amazing sushi! So fresh, creative and flavorful. Fantastic experience today at Sushi Nanami! Walked in today right at opening and we were politely greeted by the owner, Nam. Super awesome guy, he really makes you feel at home. The sushi was super fresh! Really worth the price. It was nice to know some ingredients are imported from Japan.I think the owner, Nam, deserves to have in the finest Japanese restaurant in the world. His customer service and food is memorable. One of the best sushi restaurant experiences I’ve had in Montreal, or maybe ever.This photo isn’t even everything I ordered, it was so good I forgot to take a photo.Consider me a regular here at Nanami!
