Black's Pools

Their communication is terrible. The only thing that works is messaging their Facebook page. We commissioned a pool liner in May and it wasn't installed until July 3. The weather delays would have been understandable had they returned phone calls or called us to update us on the status of the job. If you can wait, the work is good, but you will be waiting a long time.

In recent years Blacks' pools has installed a new liner and water heater in my parents well maintained, 30 year old pool. Some issues with the new liner that required repair but those services are not the reason for this review.Early pool opening this year (hence the water heater) and a jet leak was discovered. Dug it out, made numerous calls and eventually contact. Blacks was a no show. Didn't bother coming when he said he would.Disappointing that the business you choose for big ticket items couldn't be bothered about less expensive, yet crucial repairs.Now a month behind the pool being open decided to contact Oasis Pool Services (in Peterborough!) not only answered the phone, provided a date for the visit, a confirmation/reminder phone call, actually showed up when they said they would and performed the repair at a more than reasonable cost.Unfortunately Blacks has lost a reliable customer, over a job that took Oasis an hour and cost $200.

i agree with review below on worst experience ever. I wont recommend who to use , but i will certainly recommend to NEVER USE THIS COMPANYwe started with Blacks Pools in Feb of 2016. He has the worst communication, states facts one visits and then it is the exact opposite the next. We have experienced several topics on this to show it wasnt just one time. All the issues lead us to believe he has no clue what he is doing. Ordered wrong material, took 4 months longer than first stated , lied to us on facts to suit decision outcome and has demand money for final payment when job still hasnt been completed. After two weeks of waiting and no return calls, when he stated he would be back next day , we hired competitor to finish job after 4 months of bs. His only next visit was balance due on business card. He still till today hasnt completed the job. Liner is in crooked, didnt smooth out pool, debris in bottom not picked up prior to installing and quotes to fix is errors are equal to getting all new setup. We ended up getting morenew items to our pool with the competitor we acquired after we hired someone else to finish the job. so not only was it the worst experience with dealing with contractors , he missedout on sale of more items and revenue. The good news is i believe in the 10 commandments.

We have used Black's Pools for a number of years and have always been completely satisfied with their service . Black's regularly open and close our pool and we have also entrusted them with major products such as a new liner and a new Pool heater.We have always been very satisfied with their service and have and will continue to recommend them to friends and family .John and Bonnie Hasilo

Three homes three Blacks Pools. Service is impeccable on time and reliable. I wouldn’t hesitate to refer them to friends and family. We love our Black’s Pools.

BUYER BEWARE!!Pool season is quickly approaching!!Just a buyer beware for families wanting a beautiful pool installed, repaired or opened this summer.BLACKS POOLS operating locally here in Lindsay will take your money and run without even putting a shovel in the ground!!A local young family borrowed$20,000 to give T. Black and his son as a deposit to install a lovely $40,000pool last summer and have been given nothing in return. The money was given to T. Black in a money order in which shows he then immediately cashed it.They are thieves and crooks!!Until these innocent folks are given their money back, I will continue to post this awareness for buyers all over Ontario!!

Black's Pools, Lindsay, set up a new above ground pool for us several years ago. The quality of the workmanship was excellent and the employees were diligent workers. Recently, we had extensive damage during the storm; strong enough winds to remove our entire barn. During a very busy time due to the extreme amount of damage in this area, Black's were quick to assess the damage to the pool and provide us with a quote. They have a very polite mannerism and a bonus, if you have pets, they are animal lovers, too!! Thanks!

We got our above ground pool last summer and our family couldn't be more thrilled! We love our Black's pool! We were impressed with the high quality and affordability of the product. Our pool was efficiently installed within the agreed upon timeline. Michael and Todd were knowledgeable and easily approachable while answering all of our questions about our new pool (first time pool buyers). They continue to supply all of our chemicals and are quick to drop off whatever we need.
