Tyax Lodge & Heliskiing

Staff are friendly and welcoming. The lodge is beautiful, and so are the lake views. I'd highly recommend a lake view cabin. The amenities are a perfect touch. We really enjoyed canoeing and paddleboaring, and stopping by the hottub after we swam in the lake. The quality of the food is great as well. I have nothing negative to express, this mini trip was perfect.

We're working in the area and came for lunch and drinks best chicken burger in my life and also the best gin and tonic I've ever had. I've eaten and drank in nearly every city in the country this place is second to none. Love the people and the area. Great times

We just had our wedding at Tyax about a month ago and I am still buzzing from the amazing experience my wife and I had at one of the most beautiful resorts in BC. Grace and her team absolutely knocked the ball out of the park, going above and beyond with making our day as special as it could be. They are so personable and make having a wedding easy. Chef Tyson cooks the most delicious fried chicken I have ever tasted. I got to enjoy his cooking when we went for a visit the previous year and he remembered how much I liked the chicken. He then proceeds to bring us a special plate of said chicken for our head table as a surprise for our wedding dinner. This level of service is unheard of, the fact that he remembered I liked the chicken so much just goes to show how much him and his staff care about your guest experience. My wife and I will be coming back to Tyax every year to celebrate our anniversary, and I hope to see some familiar faces when we return. Tyax staff truly makes you feel like family and I will forever be grateful for one of the best experiences in my life.

This is a very special place - worth the drive up the Hurly. We’ve been visiting Tyax for many years now and are always impressed with the service - the staff do an amazing job of taking care of you. Stayed for my 61 birthday with my son and we had a great time even though my atv saw better days but will be back next yr for a couple or few days for 62

I just returned from my 2-night stay at Tyax Lodge. And what a true gem on the lake surrounded by majestic mountains! The staff were wonderful and friendly. The beds were comfy, the hot tub relaxing, canoeing was adventurous, and the food exquisite! I soaked up all the peaceful sites and sounds (the morning loon call is glorious). It was hard to leave. I highly recommend this place for a rejuvenating and relaxing time.

Fantastic!! I cannot say more good things. We rented the Lynx Chalet, and it’s a little piece of paradise. The cabin is beautiful, well-equipped with all kitchen accessories, including a BBQ, dishwasher and laundry. The little touches are phenomenal. Bug spray bottles to use outside; canoe, paddleboards and kayak at your private beach; life jackets in the closet.Would suit both a big group and a private get-away.The staff were absolutely wonderful. Super accommodating, as we were going on a bike trip with Tyax Adventures prior. Very communicative, giving directions (google maps is not correct in saying it’s an 8hr drive from Kamloops).Would absolutely recommend!!We went in the summer with a 2 wheel drive truck from Lillooett, which was okay. The roads are suited for AWD and 4x4 with high ground clearance, but other cars can drive too, just slower and with more caution for fallen rocks.

We camped at the resort during a recent trip. The lake is great for swimming and the camping includes use of canoe and paddle boards. Dinner at the lodge with memorable and delicious. The camping facilitates are rustic but include hot showers and large, level sites.

Gorgeous location on a lovely lake with snow capped peaks nearby. We visited in July for a wedding. Canoeing on the lake was a highlight and some loons and their young put on a show. Comfortable rooms, friendly and helpful staff. The drive here from Lilloet is stunning but challenging over a twisting bumpy road.

I have to give this place a 5 star review. Last night our friends vehicle slid into a ditch 50kms into the mountain, and immediately had to seek help. Someone up the mountain pointed us here. And honestly, these people are so caring and so sweet! They let us stay the night the day before they opened, and when we came to pay the next day, we were told to not worry about it. When we first arrived, we were offered a phone to call for help, iced water (it was boiling outside) and just the best care. They are even letting us keep some of our stuff here until we get our vehicle out today. I strongly suggest this place!!
