Weird pricing scheme and the consignment element really takes advantage of students in need of money. Better to use an online marketplace instead.

Update your hours. Lugging books all the way to your shop on the bus to find that you are closed is frustrating to say the least.

I asked whether I could leave some books with Subtext and the cashier sneered “It’s not that simple”. Subtext’s website said they were accepting books, so I didn’t think I said anything unreasonable? The website should be updated to include that students need to bring their ONEcard with them when dropping off books (I hadn’t known). The cashier also mentioned that students would have to physically come back to campus to check if their books had sold when the website says that you can also “you can call, or email”. An important detail to leave out for those who are graduating and leaving the country? Disappointed that this cashier would provide me with false information. I was hoping that my books could’ve been used by another student, but instead I ended up having to donate them.

i do not understand the purpose of this place. it is meant to sell used textbooks, but they refused to put my 2 textbooks on consignment without any logical explanation. if you are looking to sell a used textbook, don’t waste your time lugging your textbook to school for them to say no. probably best to just put it on craigslist

I buy instant noodles and snacks here for about as cheap as you can get. Textbooks exist too but textbooks are textbooks
