Absolutely my favorite museum in Montreal. Always avant-garde, always involving, innovative, yet somehow brings you back in time. Go with a friend, family or by yourself, it is well worth it.

Montreal Museum of Archaeology and History
Pretty nice museum , known to be the largest archeological museum in Canada Unfortunately, two sites have been closed due to recent fire while the main permanent exposition is easy to cover. Other upsetting moments:- bistro upstairs was closed;- really poor navigation in museum.Good feature is engaging multimedia screens.

Always a nice visit. great place to bring kids. Really cool building with a good collection, mostly Montreal related. There is 2 floors dedicated to Egypt as well. I was finished within 2 hrs. When they re open the tunnel, hopefully soon, it should be closer to 3hrs. The staff is really helpful. They have an area on the roof you can hang out on as well.

Great place to learn about this the history of Montreal. Really enjoyed the ruins and the Egypt exhibit.Highly recommend for history buffs!

Montreal Museum of Archaeology and History
Spent a great 3 hours with the family on a Sunday afternoon. Best to purchase the family value for $52. Great information on the history of Montreal. Impressive pirate ship. Take your time touring and exploring, great value for the money and learning history. Many exhibits, and don't touch anything, or use flash while taking photos.

One of the best museums I’ve ever been to.You’ll learn so much about Montreal’s history.You’ll see so many different art pieces, activations, interactive games, there’s just so much.I literally came back to Montreal to visit this museum, because my tour guide highly recommended it and I didn’t have the time for my first trip.This is a must-see!

I recently visited the Pointe-à-Callière Museum in Montreal and I must say that I was thoroughly impressed with the exhibits and displays. The museum is dedicated to the history and archaeology of Montreal, and it does an excellent job of showcasing the city's rich cultural heritage.Upon arrival, I had a bit of a strange encounter with the receptionist. We had a bit of a debate about how to write the number 86. I had initially thought she said 80 and 6

Place is interesting for adults and kids.Great look-out on the top floor. A beautifully composed introductory film about the history of Quebec and Canada for 17 minutes. Separate children's room if you visit with children. Unique exhibits in the Egypt parts. The atmosphere is good for spending time with the whole family.

Did not have much hopes as I walked in, but this museum is amazing! The multimedia show was the best Ive seen (dont miss it!) and we get to walk around a lot of archaeological structures and great interactive exhibits. The pirate section was also fun!Highly recommended stop!

Visit this museum because we want to see the underground ruin. Visit starts with 17mins multimedia show then continue to 4 sites. Very interesting!
