Roland Michener Playground

Nice playground. Aesthetically pleasing with fresh wood chips and new playground equipment from late 2021. Not a whole lot for kids to do though, most of the equipment is metal climbing structures instead of actual playground structures. Only has one actual structure for walking on, which is tiny. Metal slides will be hot in summer, was surprised to see those as every other new park uses plastic. Our almost 3 year old didn't have much to do. The most fun for her was tossing wood chips down the slides.Also, there is a rope stretched about 8 feet across the ground, some kind of balance 'beam'. Huge tripping hazard. I almost fell once myself when not looking directly at the ground, and my daughter did fall over on it once.Again, nice playground. But feels like there were many oversights in the planning process...

Playground retrofit replacement in 2021. New Outdoor Exercise equipment added with multiple stations.
