I recently hired Steve to provide care for my 72 year old sister who was diagnosed with terminal cancer.He came to the house and met with my sister .He was very personable and made a instant connection .He was able to provide some 7 hour day shifts and some overnight 12 hour shifts.He personally introduced each care aid to my sister and they provided excellent care.I would highly recommend Steve and his care givers to look after your family members.Allan Murray

After suffering a serious fall injury at work in 2016 my life was changed dramatically. Having been very active up to that point in my life including hiking, cycling, skiing, fishing and much more I was advised that I would be forever in a wheelchair.After dealing with numerous other agencies both small local companies and large national chains I finally found Steve and Just like family.After Steve explained his business philosophy and provided several references I signed on in a heartbeat.Steve has matched my needs with staff that are very enjoyable to work with and often even share my personal interests.Although I knew that Steve was a man of the highest integrity he recently rose far beyond anything a person could expect.After being transported to Kelowna General hospital by B.C. Medical Transport for an appointment with a Vascular Surgeon with the prospect of losing my right leg, I found myself abandoned.After booking the round trip, I found myself abandoned in Kelowna by B.C.Ambulance service and them unable to pick me up or bring me home.I called Steve as I was without options to see if he could give me a lift back to Penticton. Without hesitation Steve said hold tight and was there in less than ten minutes. Steve postponed Christmas shopping with his son and wife to give me a ride home.When we arrived at my dwelling in Penticton he wouldn't take a penny for fuel or for carrying my bags in.He is the most up-front honest guy Ì have ever had the pleasure of meeting or working with. My dad lives in a facility in the Okanagan but none of his close family does which means he would go months at a time without visits. This was having such an impact on his wellbeing so we reached out to Steve at Just Like Family to see about having a visitor come to the facility just to hang out with my dad (watch tv with him, take him for walks, help him call his family...). Steve came and met my dad personally and got to know him before assigning someone to work with him. Jessica has been visiting my dad for several months now and the staff have noticed such a change in my dad. He is calmer and friendlier and most importantly, he seems happier. It is so hard to have my dad so far away but the relief with these visits has been beyond words. I can't thank this team enough. The cost is very fair and I am very grateful to this team. My dad's quality of life is so much better now. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Just Like Family.

We could not have gone through my Mother's transition to needing support without Steve Miller of Just Like Family. Steve was very accommodating with schedule changes as my Mother settled into her new norm. He was very understanding and went out of his way to accommodate our needs.One of the more important aspects I picked up in my dealings with Just Like Family was Steve's commitment to the personnel who worked for him. Just Like Family are exactly that! They treat everyone like family, with respect and compassion for what is. They make things easy, worry free. I live in Ontario but decided to have surgery in BC to avoid COVID delays in my own province. I called Steve at the last minute when I learned that I could not be released unless I had someone to provide post surgical care. Just Like Family were available and attentive. They met my expectations and more. I could not have been in better hands.
