Was sadly disappointed. Ordered nachos and they were sooo soggy, basically no cheese, half cold. I had heard great things but this wasn't the vibe.

We had pulled pork tacos, hot sauce on the side was watery, flavour less, tacos were not fried just 2 tiny little corn tortillas, meat was practically non existant, Where's the cilantro? Where's the flavour?

Worst nachos I've had in my life. Incredibly bad. Soggy doesn't begin to describe them. So cheap on the cheese if I could find it under the goop. Bland. Boring. Go to save on and get texmex instead. It'll taste much better. Food this bad should be illegal.

Food was incredible. Beef burrito was full of flavour and amazing. My partner had a veggie taco and said that the true mark of a good Mexican joint is their ability to make a good veggie taco. Needless to say, they passed the test.

I love El Taco. I eat here waaaaaay to much, but it’s damn good. Turkey Chorizo w/ double cheese, fried. It’s the alpha burrito. I will admit, it depends on who’s making the burrito as to how good it will be. Not always a home run, but you always get to third base with El Taco. Nomi is the greatest though. If she’s making your burrito, it’s a guaranteed grand slam!!

We love this as a quick place to stop after a long backpacking trip. It’s fairly simplistic food, but it’s fast and reliable. I like the option for turkey chorizo. Got a cocktail for the first time and the Paloma was delicious, although I didn’t get much rosemary flavor. I like having the different salsa options. The restaurant itself is small and charming with a very social patio. I’m sure we will be back.

We loved this place last year. And of course, we came back this year to eat some awesome tacos, but what a disappointment! Fish taco is tasteless with small soggy code inside. Other tacos were just ok, nothing great. I agree with some the below reviews that guacamole is now just a green blend without avocado taste. We won’t be back again till I see the owner taking action to bring food quality back.

My family and I stop in Nelson once in a while as a halfway point between the Lower Mainland, BC and Lethbridge Alberta. This time we were looking for a restaurant to eat at and went to their website. Once I read how this place got started, well I had to go check it out. Once there we were not be disappointed it was exactly what we expected and the food was great! I can see why this place is a Nelson staple!

This a cute little restaurant. It's obviously well loved by the locals. We had 2 menu items and neither were worth finishing. Maybe just an off day. Best of luck to this place.

Wow. The absolute worst fish tacos of my life. And for $5.10 EACH you'd expect them to taste good. The fish is a watery mass of mush in the center of the taco and tastes sooo FISHY that its overwhelmingly bad. I wanted to throw it up the moment I took a bite of it. Only reason I finished it was because they cost so much. Never again.
