9/10: Located on Victoria Island, Pizzeria Prima Strada is your local woodfire oven neapolitan pizzeria. I've had the opportunity to try the rucola e crudo, panna e pancetta, and carne pizzas. I felt like the crust could have been more light and airy. However, the toppings were great and the tomato sauce had the perfect sweet-acidity balance. For dessert, I tried the strawberry sorbetto and the affogato. The ice cream / gelato is made by the restaurant and was one of the best I've ever had. The strawberries were very prominant in the gelato and was not overpowdered by sweetness. The portion of the affogato was quite small for the price ($9), but it was one of the best affogatos I've had, featuring strong and skily smooth espresso and vanilla-bean gelato. Overall, I really enjoyed my exprience at Pizzeria Prima Strada and I am looking forward to coming back on my next visit to the island.

What a great pizza place just a little ways away from the madding crowd. Selling personal size pizza the food is delicious. Toppings are not crowded on and there is just the right sauce so things don't slide off.Service was timely and friendly.A great pizza place well worth the short drive(or cab ride) from downtown

It was wonderful! We ordered a Carne pizza and two glasses of House made Blueberry Basil Soda. The soda was great and even it’s just $4 each. Our pizza was also amazing. I think the price is reasonable here!Servers were nice. I’d like to try other dishes as well. See ya before long XD

A nice spot for an outing with family for individual personal - and somewhat expensive - pizzas. The menu selection for pizzas is rather good and reads 'delicious' but the toppings are sparse to an individual expecting a mountain of meat on the 'Carne'... or recognizable oyster mushrooms on the 'Funghi Supremo'. The Funghi was soggy on the bottom as the mushrooms must be soaked in water or something? Ordering 4 pizzas was $95 with taxes and tip - without much left over and boxed for home. I'm not terribly surprised about this as we've been here before and it's a special night out once a year but for that $$$ at a quality Indian restaurant would feed us all again with a hearty helping the next day. Again, we come here infrequently for the experience and to switch it up. The service was good and it's fun to watch the staff throw the dough in the air and place them in the brick oven.

You are in for a treat. Pizzas we ordered were awesome, excellent thin crust, great flavor and texture, baked in a wooden oven. Staff is very friendly, catering to customer's needs. Not too busy, however all protocols were followed, so decide for yourselves if you want to eat in, or take out. Either way, your tummy will sing Yeeeesssss"."

Pizza was burnt, flat beer with only 3 kinds to choose from. Salad had wilted lettuce and little to no dressing. Was charged for chilli oil which is essentially ketchup at a pizza place. Service was slow and sub par and the place wasnt even full. Go to cook st village location there dialed in.

Good recipes, easy casual location. Beer selection is limited to 3 taps and they're basic local beers. The pizza was a bit soggy near the centre. Typically, this is caused by too much moisture in the ingredients or not draining the tomatoes. It could also be caused by too thin of a crust in the middle. A good solution is to coat the crust with olive oil before adding the sauce and ingredients. I see there are a few other reviews with the same info about the soggy crust. It is a shame because the wood-fired oven is quite nice and this could be excellent pizza if the technique were to be mastered effectively.

We went here for my birthday tonight. I love their pizza but we don’t usually dine in. The pizza was good but the service was slow and the waitress dismissive. We were very disappointed when the extra additional pizza we ordered took almost an additional half an hour to receive. The real kicker was when we received our bill- we were charged an 18% large party gratuity without our knowledge. We were three adults and three kids. I guess a 3 year old counts? Also since when is six people a large group?I don’t think we will dine in house here again.
