Bovine Rice Bowls
The steak bowl is delicious! Definitely something to try at least once...and then several more times! Just the regular bowl is a good sized, balanced portion. Although the restaurant itself doesn't have indoor seating, it's in a tucked away area with other shops and seating just outside. Got takeout but decided to sit outside since I like the solitary feel. Not too long after I sat, one of the employees came out to give me a cup of water. Unexpected but a really sweet gesture!

Bovine Rice Bowls
This place is so good! The bowls are always fresh and full of flavour. Bovine is a great option for lunch when you are in the downtown area. My favourite in the roast beef rice bowl that comes with a lightly cooked egg, rice, roast beef, sauce and veggies. The also have a steak bowl, katsu sandwiches and locally made ice cream sandwiches. You can’t go wrong with this spot!

Bovine Rice Bowls
I was told the menu was inspired from trips to Japan and their local dishes. I had the roast beef bowl and it was pretty tasty. The beef may look rare but it was neither bloody or the texture rubbery which is the way I like it. The overall size of the bowl was quite large and there was quite a bit of food however it didn't taste very heavy. I could see quite a few surrounding people stopping in to pick up a quick bowl.

Bovine Rice Bowls
Second time ordering from here and both times I’ve been blown away! For my first visit, I ordered the eggplant bowl. Seeing as I’m a huge fan of eggplant, they gave a good amount in my bowl. This time around I got the daily feature which was their sweet chilli salmon.. again, absolutely delicious. The salmon was SO soft and SO moist, I’ve never had such good salmon from a restaurant before. Highly suggest trying out this place. They even have Mister ice cream some days which is an added plus!Customer service is great too, friendly employees and the space is cute and quaint.

Very good steak bowl. The rice was fresh and the meat was tender, well cooked. I would've preferred more seasoning but I still enjoyed it.

So delicious! The roast beef and steak were so tender and juicy, and the sauce was super tasty. Next time we're getting the extra large haha

Que out the door for lunch, perfectly cooked steak fresh salad on a bed of rice. Good flavors will come back for the beef dip!

Steak bowl. Really good! Great sauce in the bowl. Only wish the steak was cut slightly smaller or thinner given it can be tough to bite off a piece. Will try the Roast Beef bowl next time!

Bovine Rice Bowls
This small Japanese-inspired rice bowl restaurant delivers bold flavours at relatively cheap prices in the heart of downtown Vancouver. We ordered the roast beef bowl and the special of the day which was shrimp and steak. The roast beef came with a poached egg and a miso based sauce. I would say the flavours were good but not outstanding. I felt like the beef could've been marinated more to bring out more of an umami flavour. However the crisp veggies and the rice complimented the beef well. The steak and shrimp bowl had more of a butter-based sauce that was creamy and rich. The shrimp was slightly more undercooked than I would like but the steak was brilliant. Overall, a good lunch spot that's good for a quick grab-and-go.
