Burlington Basketball

My 7 year old daughter started in their Steve Nash /Jr NBA development program and she loved the fun skills with coach Jeff. We had tried Oakville Jr NBA but was not pleased with teenage coaches.She has now played rep for 2 years and her love for the game has only grown exponentially. Basketball has been an essential way for her to learn to work hard, be proud of her resilience and talents, and the value of a tight knit team.

Great experiences for both my son and daughter within Burlington Basketball. Both started in the Steve Nash program and have enjoyed many seasons learning to play the game and having fun!

My son played for the first time this year, We are new to basketball.Great houseleague program, great coaches and great refereeing. Winning was secondary (but was very competitive), playing the right way , learning the rules, learning skills of the game was their main focus. Our coach was fantastic (coach Sean S).Not sure if we got lucky having a great coach, but it seemed like all the coaches were very knowledgeable of the game and treated players and refs with respect.We actually live in Oakville and decided to join Burlington basketball due to poor reviews on Oakville site. Glad I made that decision.

Being in the position to be able to give back a little to this great community of ours, I decided to coach & volunteer in youth sports since it has had such a positive impact on myself personally & to those around me. While I do not have any kids of my own in the programs, my experience as a coach with Burlington Basketball has been absolutely extraordinary!Access to excellent coaching materials, clinics, accredited instructors & coaching skills development is something that was very important to me when choosing where I would focus my efforts. Burlington Basketball certainly checked off all those boxes and then some! They have been very forward-looking & very progressive as far as how they approach the game. Their access to the best facilities in Burlington, top-notch equipment and responsive administration is very much appreciated.While much of this might not sound like much, it is all very important to me as a coach & volunteer and I would imagine as a parent enrolling their kids in a program. The support that Burlington Basketball has given me allows me to focus upon & deliver the BEST in coaching the kids on the court. In the end that’s what it is all about and seeing all those smiles at the end of the day is what makes it all worthwhile for myself!Thank-you Burlington Basketball for giving me the avenue & support I was looking for to make a positive impact upon our community!
