Black Dog Cafe
Service was super nice, attentive and quick. Latte was smooth and not bitter. Bought the fritter and earl gray donut. SO DELICIOUS!! Black Dog has now become one of my fave coffee shops. I only wish they had a patio or larger seating/dine in area.

Love the vibe here. Coffee is great. Staff is friendly and chatty. Savoury foods are made in house and yummy. Best part, the baked goods are made at Gerrard Street Bakery! Love it all.

Very friendly staff and such a nice vibe. They need to change their flavour shot coffee ratio though - ordered a vanilla latte but couldn’t taste coffee at all and was very disappointed :(. Couldn’t finish it as was way too sweet. Shame considering I have heard good things about their espresso!!

Excellent treats and friendly staff. Happy.to.be able to bring my dog in to order coffee as well, he didn't like being tied up on Kingston.

Coffee is pretty good. There is a selection of treats, and empanadas that look interesting, but not much that looked like breakfast. I would go back for coffee but I wouldn’t sit down and I wouldn’t try to eat breakfast there again.

We usually have coffee with treats here.LOVE their lemon tart, not too sweet - perfect for me.Peach tart is great, as well as a butter tart.This time we had a special occasion and needed some desserts.The lady was very friendly and helpful, she told us we can order any cake in advance, choose from good variety of flavors and sizes!We had flourless mousse cake and strawberry cheesecake. Absolutely delicious!And the prices are sweet too :)Amazing service!

My coworker recently brought in goodies from Black Dog Cafe, and I couldn't help and ask which bakery she got them from. It's that good. I have tried countless similar items from other places, but I couldn't believe the quality and taste of these baked goods.The specially ordered tall Chocolate Fudge Cake won me over on the first bite. It wasn't sweet at all. It was moist. Their Fudge Brownies with nuts and Blondies are also to die for.Since these treats were shared between my coworkers, we cut them to bite size pieces. So they are smaller than their actual size.What's great is this cafe has another location, but it's called Gerrard Street Bakery.

Black Dog Cafe
Very nice little café in an area where there is a need for more coffee places. As a result, there is often a line and the place can get full quickly. The coffee is good, the staff helpful and they have a good selection of pastries and savory baked goods.
