I am a Gabriolan resident and have to say I’m getting sick of spending money at your mall only to go to use the bathroom and they are literally always out of order. Sort this out or we just will stop getting our supplies here and will encourage everyone we know to also do so.

NOT DISABILTY FRIENDLY. The only bathrooms are deliberately made inaccessible before 10am. Both washrooms are taped off and closed for maintenance" all while the disablility washroom is LOCKED.A place to use the facilities should always be available during open hours. Using the washroom is a need. Everyone deserves to be able to access one."

The security guards are extremely judgemental and assume the worst of everyone, pretty much no matter what you look like - if you're just sitting there, they want to know:- why are you there- what are you're doing- and it's time to ...MOVE IT ALONG."THIS APPLIES EVEN IF YOU'RE SITTING AT THE BUS STOP WAITING FOR A BUS

You'll find a Friendly atmosphere & People that work, shop, and eat as it offers you many choice.Port Place Shopping Centre is located in the heart of downtown Nanaimo, an offers a full range of shops, services and restaurants for all your shopping needs. There is plenty free parking and convenient access to grab your goods, or stay awhile and enjoy the fresh ocean air while you sip your coffee on one of the many patios and browse your favourite stores.

Port place is a place where one can get a lot of their daily needs,I been seeing a lot of change from when I was a little kid to now (35years old)I kind of miss the old layout of the mall where there was a little bit of pf small (don't know if I should call it that) fast food like but good quality foods to select from. (that brought people together)but the remake of the mall made it small and made it a lot less family friendly where family's can bring their kids to eat with a variety of places to choose from(this is when fields was there)other than that it's still pretty awesome place to be.The guards are not too mean but I think they should be more friendly to the homeless/unfortunateas their main goal is to intimidate them. instead of asking them to move along.I'm not going to bash them though that's all I'm going to say.

You will like shopping at this strip mall as long as you don't mind getting wet in the winter.They have a variety of restaurants for you to enjoy at reasonable prices.As well as some great stores.

A great place to experience the cutting edge of poverty and homelessness in town. And a handy casino for the poor to make sure they stay poor, and you might get to experience your first stabbing whilst enjoying your mostly outdoor shopping adventure. Don't forget your emergency whistle.

I'm a disabled Senior from out of town. While waiting for a car repair I shopped at Port Place Mall. Tired and with buggy full of purchases I tried to go and sit down and wait at Wendy's burger joint. I had no idea that security was such that if u cross a line halfway out in parking lot....the buggy wheels lock up!!! I hurt my back and arms trying to drag my bags the rest of the way. Unbelievable and UNACCEPTABLE. Who thot this was a good idea??? Probably wasn't an older woman.

As of recently there has been a lot of sketchy and horrible things going on here. I recommend to not come here alone and do not go at night. Hopefully something is done to protect the workers who work here, I could not imagine working here after all the things that have happened as of recently. So sad
