I went in today November 2nd 2018 to deposit a cheque I received from a client, right off the hop Mr El Hadj started questioning me about where I got my cheque, who gave it to me, what business I did earlier in the morning, then stated he will have to hold my cheque. I was under the impression tellers are trained in customer service, and not make their prejudices that apparent. I took my cheque to the Ellice branch, and had no issues. I was insulted and appalled by the service, management of that branch will be notified

I'm shocked at the very poor customer service. No two reps give you the same info, or seem to know the company's policies. I've wasted hours of time waiting on the phone to speak with someone, and the end result is I'm no further ahead. They want your money, but have no interest in customer service. I think it's time to switch back to a local credit union...where everyone knows your name. I'm done!

A new bank manager and focus on greed and profits killed this bank. After 18 years here, switched to a credit union. Realize now how toxic RBC was over the years. But new manager in 2021 was a new low.

One of the slowest bank branches in the city. You would think that a bank would realize that on the first of the month you might want to have some staff on. Seriously every 1st of the month. Absolutely tired of it. Avoid this branch

It's true the staff here are friendly and have always been kind when I'm there. It's too bad about what RBC itself is doing in the world. Personally I'm worried about the climate crisis & Indigenous rights, and so I can't accept that RBC is funding a pipeline across Wet'suwet'en territory without proper consent. I was also shocked to find out RBC has also put over 200 BILLION into the fossil fuel infrastructure since the Paris accord. There's more info here: nomoredirtybanks.com

I have been dealing with them personally for 30+ years. I am completing my first year with them as my business account as well and I will NEVER go back to the previous bank I was using. The customer service both in person and over the phone is great and they actually offer business banking. 10/10 would recommend.
