Maison Adam

Just came back from Maison Adam for some advice regarding HiFi systems. I spoke with Umberto Meo and he is very knowledgeable and not pushing hard on selling. Strongly recommend . Thank you I will come back for more products.

The people there are absolutely awesome, a full great selection of audiophile grade home theatre and critical listening thingamajigs, from headphones, to speakers made by paradigm and test rooms, this place is awesome like the 2600$ pair of headphones I tried.

Staff is dressed to impress.. thats it. i bought a home theatre system in the 4 digits to find out later at home that it already had been opened.. not impressed.... finger prints all over my “brand new” speakers. One speaker was unscrewed open and thats not it, power supply for the sub was missing and two wall mounting brackets where missing. All that to later find all the protective wraps and instruction thrown in the bottom of the box just like itwas trash.. lucky i had to put 1 star cause 1 woudnt even give 1. NOT IMPRESSED!

ZERO STAR... DO NOT BUY SAVE YOUR MONEY GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. EXTREMELY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE (RUDE STAFF). WORST EXPERIENCE EVER !!!!I purchased a 65 Inch TV (OPEN BOX) as per the online Ad. After a couple of day I called to get a status of my order the staff member was very rude and said that I to pay 599.00 extra if I want my TV and threatened me that if I don't pay her right now she is cancelling my order and hang-up the phone. After multiple calls I got hold of the General Manager of the shop who told me that my credit card has been flagged for fraudulent activity and they cannot processed my order. I told the manager that the payment has been approved my the bank and is showing in my bank statement. At that point he said that he want proof of what I said and asked me to provide him with my bank statement and picture of my credit card (front and back) so he can verify, I complied to his request and sent everything via email. In the meantime I called my bank and asked if my credit card has been flagged for fraudulent activities and they told me NO everything is ok from their side. So I inquire from them about the Maison Adam transaction of approx $2100 and I was told that the transaction was approved 2 days ago and Maison Adam has already received the money. I tried contacting the manager same day to update but i kept on getting transferred to one employee to another employee and end up having to leave a voice mail. After a day went by the general manager contacted me saying that everything is ok with the credit card but now i have to pay an extra $270.00 approx for shipping (which was free on their website at the time of purchase) and the TV would not be an open box, it will be a Demo/Floor Model. Now they are saying that I have to pay the extra money and take the floor model

An interesting store. The usual selection of medium range audio and video equipment.

Couldn't buy a projector online since the store has ridiculously strict anti-fraud protection. If it happens that the billing address is different from the shipping address they just put your order on hold. They charge your card nevertheless and won't contact you either by phone or email.I learned about my transaction flagged as fraud 2 days later when we had to call the store. They asked to provide proof of billing address (!), no one ever asked me for that in my life. After I sent them picture of my ID with the address they sent me an email next day stating that they still believe the transaction is fraudulent :) Now I'm waiting for a refund to buy projector elsewhere.Note to management: someone from your team doesn't know how to implement the fraud protection and you're shooting yourself in the foot.

I make speakers as a hobby and I wanted to listen tosome high-end there on the 30th of April 2019.Jason welcomes me (I find this shop assistance technique very intrusive, but it's very popular in Québec City).We talk about equipment, hi-fi sound, transparence etc I tell him I would like to spend around 1000$ loonies on a pair.We go together to the listening room and I see a pair if B&W...I tell him I want to listen to them and he tells me that it is not in my price range...and he puts on some music on a pair of paradigms :) ...outside the room.Not recommended, all they want is sell....Thank you for your answer, but I think a seller should not refuse to demo a product they're selling as long as they have it in the listening room. Whatever the budget of the buyer is.Not coming back for sure.Have a good day.

Just ordered a Yamaha amplifier and received excellent customer service from one of the sales reps, Umberto. He went out of his way to provide me with information about the amplifier, company & warranty information in order to help me with my purchasing decision. This type of excellent service is becoming a rare quality in today's world. I would not hesitate to transact with Umberto from Maison Adam in the future.

Staff isn't too fast in welcoming you or finding out what you need or what you're looking for. Most of them were busy checking their FB page or chatting among themselves. If you're in a hurry to buy something this is not the place. If you have time to waist then, this might be it.
