My family and I stayed at the Shady point resort, honestly had the best week ever!The booking process was so easy, communication with Mo was great we knew what to expect but honestly it was above and beyond our expectations.The cottages are so cute had a rustic feel they are well maintained and clean.There was so much to do for all ages We have three children, teenager, kid and toddler they were kept busy all week doing different things and hardly used their devices but when they did.. the internet was great no issues at all.We love Clinton he was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, so friendly! Shady point resort will definitely be our new go to vacation place every summer!

Alex and Rosalinda were awesome hosts when we were there in early August. Alex came by daily to see if everything was okay and if we needed anything. But he also gave us our space, which was really nice. As a group that rented the 3 cottages Ponderosa, Lakeview and Paradise, we had a whole area to ourselves and really enjoyed the cottages, property and waterfront. Thank you so much Alex and Rosalinda, we can hardly wait to be back next year. Enjoy your fall and winter and we’ll see you next August!P.S. Alex and Rosalinda are the original owners of Shady Point Resort and recently sold many cottages that are now an Airbnb. They still own 3 cottages and manage those.

Grounds are clean, lake is beautiful, and town is a short walk away. Great for a family vacation. Cabins are not exactly 5 star, but they are equipped with everything you need to enjoy the beauty of the Kawarthas.

We had a wonderful time at Panderosa cottage this fall! All the cottages are quite dated but all what matter (AC, showers, kitchen appliances) work without issues. Due to COVID 19 restrictions we had to bring our own linens. The lake view is beautiful and multiple water activities are available (fishing, kayaking). One advantage of Shady Point resort is its close proximity to stores and restaurants. This advantage however has a cost - a relatively low privacy.

They asked Michelangelo, how did it he create David. He replied, David was always there, I just chipped away the rock surrounding it. This is what Mo and his team has done to this resort. Having visited before, you basically got what you paid for but under Mo's approach to customer excellence, my family and I had a dream vacation we had long been needing. The love is litterally in the walls, as our hosts have brought there personal touch to the cottage we stayed at. The rythmic music from the stream, as I sat in the reading chair in Hideaway just melted the tension gathered during Covid. The resort provided something for everyone, a fun playground for the kids, Paddle boarding and Fishing for the teenagers and a lovely dock where the Mrs and I can wittness a majestic sunset, taking us back to a lovely memory on the Mediterranean. Mo we will be back next summer, please keep the hideaway hidden for us.

My family and I stayed here, it was absolutely amazing so affordable as well. The cottages have a rustic feel to them we stayed in fisherman it was clean and very well maintained. Much larger than it appears in photos we were pleasantly surprised.The grounds are clean. Fun playground for the little kids, great fishing, swimming and the canoes paddle boards paddle boats endless hours of fun for all ages.Had great communication with Moe during booking process he made it so simple. During our stay Clint was always available to help/answer any questions he is truly a great person we all loved him!This is going to be our new yearly vacation spot.

I do not recommend. especially the sandpiper was dirty and full of ants. the first 2 hours we had to clean first. It is not a good idea to travel with young children as there is a lot of stones and no grass at all. There were also 2 large stones in the water, you had to be very careful ...it should not be any star but it gives 1 only because of the Lord who took care of everyone there (I think Andy), a really nice and helpful man....

Shady Point Resorts has been a family favorite for a while. Always incredibly accommodating and welcoming. Very cozy cabins by a beautiful lake.

Honestly I would give no stars if I could as someone smoked next to my bedroom window, in broad daylight and left their cigarette package there on the first day we were there. When I was leaving on Saturday after the experience I was approached by Andy the manager/host and told him about the incident. He assured me he would take care of it and if we had any further concerns to address it with him. We arrived back on the Sunday as we didn't feel comfortable sleeping there again (not all the windows locked) only to find the cigarettes had not been cleaned up, which lead me to feel my concerns were not addressed nor taken seriously. No privacy what-so-ever.
