Great park with the highlight being the waterfalls up the river. Take a walk on the trails while you are here for some beautiful forces of nature. What a wonderful place to explore and visit for an escape. The park has a couple of outhouses and a large parking area, several picnic areas and is really well maintained.

The Falls are absolutely stunning... The trail is in dire need of maintenance it is extraordinarily narrow, with literally hundreds of fallen trees across the trail. Also poor signage/maps.

There's no indication of how far the waterfalls are. We've only been to the little one so far.

The trail is really beat up. Bridges are gone, handrails are non existent, and narrow trails flow by steep drops. We first went to the little falls trail thinking it was the trail for the big falls, FOLLOW THE SIGNS. Note (the little falls walk takes about 45-60 mins in, so 1:30-2:00 hours total). Another note (The big falls trail takes about 3-4 hours in, so 6-8 hours total). The first 1:30 the trail is in good condition but quickly deteriorates. The final 1:30 progressively gets worse as steep inclines and declines are present with no hand rails or ropes. At three points you will need to cross a small creek because the bridge is gone. BE CAREFUL THE ROCKS ARE REALLY SLIPPERY. The falls are absolutely stunning but only take on the trail if you have proper gear (Rain gear, change of shoes, socks, shirt, ect., proper walking shoes, bug spray, and a walking stick will help immensely). On top of that make sure you are in good enough shape to walking at up to 8 hours and that you can climb steep inclines and decline as the trail deteriorates. Last note (their are ZERO signs on the trail telling you how much longer, i would suggest having a timer as a baseline for how much longer).

Strange location for a picnic park. I find it's not so much for picnics. It's more of a trailhead for the trail. One of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Maritimes and would highly recommend if your an experienced hiker
