Labour and delivery ward, Dr. Sabrina Youash was the doctor on my delivery night. She's an absolute rockstar. She made quick decisions during my labour to ensure baby and I were safe. All the nurses, maternity staff, during the c section and recovery days. What a team to be proud of, and my fertility Dr. Campbell and nurses who work at Lakeridge Health Oshawa! Thank you so much!

Not sure why, but they hire such rude people here!I have Dyslexia and I was very confused while in a lot of pain (coming to emergency). I simply asked the waiting room nurse how to register to get into the waiting room. She responds with everyone is trying to see a doctor" in a negative tone. As I continued asking her how to register

My son was taken to emerg last night with severe abdominal pain, vomiting, and hunched over trying to give himself some relief from the pain. Compassion, there was absolutely none! For my son to agree to be taken to emerg, he's sick.You know, I to worked over 25 years in a hospital environment including emerg and I know how over worked and stressed the staff are. I get it, I really do. Not to mention short staffed. I also worked during SARS and never, ever have I snapped, was curt or rude to a patient or family member. You know people, you can't keep using Covid as an excuse.My son asked a nurse if there was anywhere he could lie down, and was told rudely no and then she walked away. He ended up lieing on the hospital floor before a chair became available. Yes, I also blame the Ford government because our Healthcare was is disarray before the pandemic and Covid just escalated it. But you cannot continue blaming the pandemic for rudeness and lack of people skills.If compassion towards people is not your thing, then you're in the wrong line of work.Long story short. The care at Lakeridge is less than adequate.Maybe pay attention to your 2.3 review ratings. Because 2.3, really ain't that great.

Im only giving a one star because its not possible to give zero. I have never seen more awful ER nurses in my entire life. the way they treat patients like an annoyance is despicable. The woman working at the desks in ER dont have a compassionate bone im their body. I would rather die than come here... dont even bother take the chance on driving a few more minutes to somewhere where they actually will take care of you and the ER nurses don't seem like a bunch of mean girls who peaked in high school!!! gross and disturbing this place literally needs to be shut down.

My husband was taken to ER at Lakeridge health Oshawa yesterday. They got him settled in quickly and were very efficient overall. Blood work and CT were done and the experience overall was great. The nurses were very nice and the doctor and other staff were caring. As he came in by ambulance and did not bring shoes or a coat with him a lovely and pleasant nurse brought him out in wheelchair to the ambulance entrance so I could pick him up with the car. We were there around 8 hours but I could hear the calls over the intercom regarding emergency issues that needed immediate attention. Overall we were happy with the service we received on this day. Thank you

Amazing L&D unit!! I can’t say enough good things about the nurses here. My delivery nurse was an absolute professional and someone to be admired!I would recommend this hospital a thousand times over

Last year my son experienced a mental breakdown.In a 6 week period he went to emergency 7 times, sometimes by ambulance. 4 of those times were to Lakeridge Oshawa. His vitals were taken and he was dismissed. On one occasion the nurse was having a difficult time attaching the ecg monitoring devices to his body because he was shaking so much.She asked another nurse for help and was told “I’m busy with real patients” right in front of my son.The only reason he was finally admitted was because the ambulance that brought him in was accompanied by the police who had him admitted under a specific form.I called the patient care line several times with my concerns and was met with excuses.My son was also supposed to be referred to outpatient care after he was released. That never happened.To others; be your loved one’s advocate and be persistent.Also, there is a health ombudsman for Ontario you can contact.

I had the best ultrasound technician today, her approach made me comfortable and her ability to calm me enough to feel joy instead of worry during my ultrasound was unmatched. I’m a very hard mama to calm down and worry is my middle name. She provided me with so much useful information, well staying at a professional level, yet being real and having an honest conversation. Also some amazing ultrasound skills.So Donna, where ever you are know that what you do made my day a little more special.

Today's visit was amazing to Emergency. The staff were so kind and caring. Started with the Nurse inTriage. Did not get her name but she was so nice. Then the waiting room nurse, who was so very busy, remained pleasant and kind through it all. To nurse Victoria in Emergency and Dr. Jenkins, thank you so much for listening and acting on Donna's concerns and treating her with respect. This has been a long road. Thank you all again.

A few months late on this review but woowwww… I had a c section in January and I cannot say enough good things about the nursing staff and doctors that took care of me and lil baby. The anesthesiologist was so funny, my surgeon and OB was probably the best doctor I’ve had. Every. Single. Nurse. Took the time to help me even though they were very busy. They helped latch my baby and get formula when needed. I could go on forever about my experience… only point off is hospital food didn’t pay attention to my dietary restrictions. By far so grateful for my nursing staff, doctors, and everyone else who truly made my experience here special and memorable. Shout out to the nurse who sat with me while I cried at 4am and talked me up. Shout out to the nurse who helped me use the bathroom and chill with me waiting to pee without catheter.. love you guys
