Burnham Optical

Everyone at Burnham Optical is always very professional,super friendly and helpful. We have dealt with them for years and have received wonderful service every time. We are certain of getting the best care for our eyes there and would not consider ever changing.

My dissatisfaction is with Burnham’s eye exam, Marcus Minder. I contacted the office within a day of receiving my new prescription glasses, to advise I was struggling to see. I was told to give them a chance to have my eyes adjust. The adjustment never happened, by the time I was able to attend their office(illness and Covid closing down their office) I was told by Marcus Minder that my eyes had changed and I needed all new glasses/lenses. I was told I had a stigmatism. The cost to change my bifocals, computer bifocals, and 2 pairs of sunglasses was over 5000., which includes all the ones I had just purchased that I struggled to see with. I went through the same problem, struggling to see with the newly received pair. During the 3rd eye exam, my stigmatism was gone! And again there was a different end result. Instead of re- ordering all my sets of glasses, I ordered only 1 set of lenses in my existing frames. Sadly I could not see clearly. The 4th and final eye exam was close to 2 hours, where a totally new eye prescription was written up putting my prism from 2.75 up over 4. There were so many comments made to me during that last exam, that troubled me, I decided to get a second opinion. I set up a new eye appointment, explaining my situation (just like I had going into Burnham’s, where I had asked Minder not to take the prescription off my existing lenses as they were wrong) The new doctor completed the exam, finding my prism was 1.75. I couldn’t believe how wonderful it was to see clearly. After all the expenses of the exams and glasses/lenses purchased at Burnham’s, I only purchased new lenses in old frames to start. Burnham would only give me back the money I spent on the last order, they would not repay me for the entire amount I had spent. Would not recommend Marcus Minder.

The service at Burnham optical was superb. Adam was very professional, friendly, and honest with his opinion as we chose new glasses for my spouse There were many choices to consider and Adam was very accommodating and helpful in our decision making experience. First time i’ve ever been here. Best Service i’ve experienced from both the Optometrist and the staff in the clinic. There was an error on my end with mistakenly thinking the material of my lenses we’re regularly what i get, but they were very quick to re-make them and I’m highly impressed with the services I’ve received. Was a recommended by a family member and will definitely be returning.

I have had many great experiences working with various staff members at Burnham optical and would highly recommend them to everyone!They have always provided great products and service whether I am coming in for a new purchase or getting a durable pair of glasses adjusted after being pulled off my face and thrown on the ground by a toddler.

We have been going to Burnham for almost 20 years and the service has never been less than impeccable. Recently, my glasses were damaged to an extent that I thought was beyond repair. Adam repaired them and had them back to me quickly. I couldn't be more pleased.

I take my kids and they are amazing with them! My son wanted to try contacts, the helped him through it and I was beyond impressed with their patience. Their frame selection was amazing & we were able to find the perfect pair for my picky teen with the help of Ally! Highly recommend! I wouldn’t take my kids anywhere else
