Nice, big, open field for the doggos to run and play! Also has a nice path through the trees, along the creek. Not a long walk, but a pleasant diversion as you're walking around the neighbourhood!

Kings Park (formerly Hydro Fields)
An open space to run our dog off leash, close to our house. A bit spooky in the dark but overall pretty safe feeling especially if you bring a flashlight/headlamp. * edit, I’d be cautious with your small dogs in the dark because there are definitely owls around that could scoop them up. I’ve never seen one swoop down but in the trees.

Love this place for taking the dog but fear that because Saanich has now bought it, they will want to develop it into a typical park and limit the dogs to a small section.One current detriment is the amount of spear grass in the summer.
