OSH does not issue a refund for the security deposit. I took a one-year lease. At the end of my lease, they claimed that the $600 deposit is non-refundable and is meant to be used for the last month of the lease. Meanwhile, they had already withdrawn funds for my last month's rent from me (auto deposit). When that explanation didn't make sense, they then claimed that there was a sublet fee" ($200) and a cleaning fee ($400)

Terrible management. All they want is your money. They tell you that security deposit is refundable but once you sign the lease and want to move out, you will say it’s non refundable. This place is managed by slumlords, an indian guy named Inder and a white lady named Susan who goes by so many different names to protect her real identity. She replies to emails using different names (mainly Sophia), but it’s always her replying to your messages. the cleaning service is never done properly… the house smells from the dirty mop, all they do is show up every two weeks to take the garbage out and use a dirty mop to clean the floor, sometimes they only take the garbage out. No washroom, no common areas cleaning. Save your money and go somewhere else where you will have your peace of mind. Lastly, if you still want to go, DONT SET UP PRE-AUTHORIZED PAYMENT, do etransfers instead, because with the pre authorized payments; they will keep charging you when you’re gone and Banks cannot stop giving access to a pre authorized merchant, you will have to close your bank account and open a new one! save your money and your peace of mind and go somewhere else where you can focus on your studies and deal with professional and respectful people!
