Araxi Restaurant & Oyster Bar
This is probably the best food in Whistler, everything was excellent. We ordered sablefish, which was cooked perfectly, and mushroom risotto, which featured a delightful array of exotic mushrooms, not conventional at all. Flavors were wonderful and the service was excellent. The atmosphere is medium-dark and modern, the noise level was medium (lots of customers and conversation). I'll be back!

Latest experienceAnother great experience. The service was just superb. The food was great and yummy desert. My kids were tired and we had rush through the dinner and take the dessert to go so I have no photos of the food and desert.I usually come here in large groups and this time they served us in their private room area and it was great. If you are looking for fine dining experience on your visit to whistler, this is my favorite place for sure.5 for Service5 for Food5 for desert5 for ambianceUpdate on this review. It is only fair to give credit when it's due. After the incident Colin from the restaurant reached out and went out of her way to help resolve the situation and was extremely helpful and courteous. I love their food and that is why I dine there every time I visit whistler and I have recommended them to friends. Now that I know that they do care about their customers I would recommend them for their food is excellent.Original Review. Absolutely the worst service I have ever experienced. I have been there at least 6 times and every time the service get worse and worse. Every time there is an issue with the reservation. I called to make a reservation over 7 weeks in advance and they said they availability & that not to worry, they would send me an email with information. I waited 2 days and nothing. Called back and left message, still nothing. I called back the next day to be informed that they booked and that they we're not able to accommodate me. That they could not seat us all at the same time and that we would have to reserve the wine room with a 2500 minimum. I travel, I enjoy fine dining and I have been to many high end restaurants. It is terrible for a fine dining restaurant to provide such poor service as of they don't give sh-t about the customer. Just awful.

Worth the hype! We had the 4 course fixed price menu, and each course was delicious! The portion size was perfect and tasted fresh and unique. I loved the oysters and the dessert! We were really happy to have tried this restaurant

If you headed to whistler make sure to get a reservation for Araxi. Everything from food to service is exceptional. We got the prix fixe menu and wine pairing. It’s definitely value for money and quality of everything served is top notch. The main is a good portion for a prix fixe.

The grilled octopus. Don’t I need to say more? Amazing flavors. Food does not sit heavy after a full meal. Only suggestion is to put the dill sauce that comes in the BC halibut on the side or a smear under the fish. Great patio seating.

Definitely one of the nicest restaurants in all of Whistler. The service was TOP NOTCH. They seriously didn’t miss a beat. Not a single moment of “hmm this is taking a while,” everything was perfectly paced. If you want to sit back and enjoy your evening with impeccable service, this is the spot. All of the food was delicious, too. It’s pretty traditional, but high quality nonetheless.

Spring in Whistler is the time to go and try amazing tasting menus around town. Araxi can't be beat for their $42 menu, along with their $42 wine pairing menu.If you can share, try one of everything! The tuna tartar with bone marrow is a can't miss. And the risotto was cooked perfectly - which is a sign of a skilled chef. Our group of 8 shut the restaurant down (sorry Araxi) - but we loved every moment.

This experience was amazing. Amazing evening from the very beginning, followed by amazing service, great food and warm and cozy atmosphere. We have had 3 appetizers, 2 main courses and desert, all lovely described by our server so the experience of fine dining was amazing. Our server took a really good care of us, helped us to choose our food, pairings with the best wine they had in the restaurant and at the end was very nice and kind to take a photo with us so we can have this great experience in memory. If you will have a chance to come and visit this place, , do not miss on it.

The server at our table was incredibly friendly and attentive. Aside from the truffle fries being underwhelming (not crispy & very starchy) the scallop crudo, crispy skin salmon & sablefish were incredible and outweighed the experience with the truffle fries tenfold. Great selection of locally sourced beers. 100% would go back again to try more of the menu!
