RBC Royal Bank

Ive been banking with rbc for 25 years or more,different locations in different cities ive lived in. Never before have i had a bad experience until i moved to Kitchener and went to the highland location. I try not to go to that one as everytime i do there's always some type of issue. I was supposed to get my pay yesterday as i usually do every other Thurs. Apparently that didnt happen and i contacted payroll at my job, they assured me they processed it in plenty of time as its the holidays for it to be in my acct when it's suppose to..as we know bills dont care if it's a holiday. I also contacted my co workers and they said they had received their pays, so i went to the bank and they told me they couldnt help me and to contact payroll. I then got back on the phone with payroll and they spoke to the lady whom i asked if she was the branch manager, she wasn't, she was just a senior teller. I was upset and rightfully so as i pay monthly bank fees for a reason and them telling me they couldnt help me was unacceptable, im considering moving to a credit union in the new year.

LOVE RBC ... have been banking with them for 20 years - wouldn't go anywhere else! The folks down at the Highland kitchener branch are fantastic.

Go here on a Saturday only 3 tellers working and the line is out the door. I hope my comment finds scheduling/management. Alot customers work really hard and days off are extremely precious. So spending this time in a line up to do very simple banking is frustrating. It seems to me that there is always a long enough line up to put more tellers on. This is a regular occurrence. Once I got to the tellers they were nice and quick.

Opened an account online, went into this branch to do some things in person. My account was flagged by the fraud dept because I opened it online. The only way to unlock the account is to provide a paper copy with my address. I told them I don’t have paper copies of anything since we live In 2022. And no time toGo get one because I needed things done ASAP. I closed my account and went to another bank. RBC: do not allow people toOpen an online account if you’re going to flag it. Please accept digital copies of ID since we are no longer living in caves.

I wish there was zero for this bank, I don’t even have banking with Royal Bank if I did I would pull everything out.. the manager of this branch has no empathy or customer service skills the fact that she’s a manager is very questionable zero respect for client situations, she does not answer phone calls or emails I am still waiting for a phone call or email correspondence since the beginning of March.I finally putting in a complaint sick of waiting on a response from Jennette. You have to do better customers pay your wages remember that.

Terrible experience. I had gone to the branch 3 third time in the middle of my working hours to get my bank statements for all my credit and chequing accounts because i have to upload them in my Permanent residency application as I recently got the invitation. I still couldn’t get my work done. I was first asked to take out the prints out through online banking inspite of me telling them that i needed bank stamps on the statements. ( p.s. i already know that i can get all my statements online.)When i was talking to the teller, she was very rude and was ignoring what i was saying. I needed a document to which says I have all my account in good outstanding but they refused to give me that. When I insisted that it is very important, they first said that you will be charged $15 for a letter (never heard if we are charged) and then said that it will take 2-3 days for us to get you the letter. I remember when we did the similar things for my fiance’s PR application, one of the branches gave the same letter in 15 minutes. I think the teller just dont want to do something which required alot of effort. If they agree to do it, they charge you 15 bucks of a document.Not going to this location ever.

As a small business owner, I wish i could give zero stars. Its been 4 weeks since I set up an account. They first lost my paperwork and only found it after constant phone calls. Then they had me come in to open the account" and told me that they would mail my card to me. THAT WAS 2 WEEKS AGO! I ORDERED SOMETHING FROM CHINA ON THE SAME DAY AND IT HAS ALREADY ARRIVED!!!! HOW!!!IM GOING TO BE BILLED FOR MY FIRST MONTH BEFORE I HAVE ACCESS TO MY ACCOUNT!!!"

Hate how the ATM area gets closed after hours. Can’t use the ATM like other banks.

Worst experience ever, they only had one CSR and big line! And awesome thing is that CSR don't have knowledge to process closing the account! What kind of pathetic staff RBC hire for the branch! His name is Karneel Baleshwaria, he put even wrong reason on closing business account statement which they give us! Lack of knowledge and skills, please RBC, hire some well trained staff so that I could continue business with this your bank! If you don't believe me than check out your camera footage in the afternoon time at November 03, 2021! He took 45 minutes just to figure out what to do!

Investment team is really great especially Jared Langerak. He is very experienced and have excellent customer service skills. Made my day easy.
