I was on the rooftop with my friends. It was horrible. The music was so loud that we had a headache. Then, it smelled gas leakage over there, we informed the waitress, but she told us that it was ok. They also serve less alcohol than it is mentioned in the carte. The only plus is the open terrace

I want to express to you the value this venue brings to our city. I've lived here for 55 years and Spotlight Cabaret is doing what no other has done before, it is exactly what dinner theater should be. The food and drinks are great, the service is fast and the shows are filled with frivolity, humor, sometimes a little raunchy, which I LOVE and imagination! Unlike Jubilations or Mayfield, who are both nice but very structured, Spotlight focuses on CREATIVITY and improvised humor in an intimate setting that is inclusive for all. They do things on the fly, improvising with the audience and bringing them into their shows.Their venue is small and intimate with flair in the design. The food and drinks are of gourmet quality and if you happen to encounter an issue, they will do everything to fix it. If you are looking for quality dining and entertainment, there is no other I can recommend more than Spotlight.The shows I've attended include full dinner theater packages Moolah Rouge, Titanical, Dirtier Dancing as well as Tina Burner, and the Burbon and Burlesque shows along with various others during the Fringe. All of them I left happy. I see some others have left reviews with less than 5 stars bc of one moment and think that's incredibly unfair. I'm basing my review on SEVERAL VISITS and I'm Simply Happy. Because Spotlight Cabaret, the owners Jeff and Aimee, their staff, do what they do, I know if I want a dose of Happy, I come here. This place is my Happy place and I'm 100% a loyal fan! Thank you Spotlight Cabaret, Jeff, Aimee, Rusty and the crew for all that you do. Much love ❤️

We were there last night with a large group for a birthday party and enjoyed the rooftop patio. This review is mostly about our server. Her name was Sarah (?) I believe and she was amazing! She was so friendly and eager, down to earth but yet genuine. Looking after a large group can be challenging but she handled it us so well. We never had to wait for drinks, she was always on the ball, remembered our orders and when we were a little on the loud side, she got lower to talk to us. You could tell that she really takes pride in providing her customers with a wonderful time. She even took our group photo. The food: We ordered tons of appetizers and plenty of cocktails and everything was very tasty. The ambience was also good, good music, great vibe, lovely flowers. Overall a really great experience! Please tell Sarah that we all thought she was top notch ☺️

Best Tuesday night attending Dirtier Dancing. Spotlight Cabaret never disappoints! Whether it's Dueling Pianos, a dinner show (live play) or seeing my favorite drag queen (Tina Burner) it's always a fun time! Lots of laughs. Highly recommend!

Food was honestly disappointing.$9 for the smallest glass of mimosa.I had the steak and prawns. Prawns were delicious, best part of the meal. Steak is so tough my gums and teeth were aching after eating. The plating was very strange. They give you a dry piece of bread under the steak and let me tell you, it is dryyyy. Price wasn't crazy but for the steak and dry piece of bread I wouldn't pay that again.My partner had the fish tacos. He said they were mid. You can tell from the batter color that the oil was old. The fish wasn't dry but batter was way too dark.The experience is definitely more enjoyable than the food. Would return just for the view, not for the food.

I was invited to join family for dinner and a show which was Dirty Dancing themed. I had no expectations. Had read no reviews and usually don't leave the house after 7pm...What an absolute joy. The whole night went off without a hitch. Great drinks. Wonderful food. Hilarious hosts, staff and crowd interaction. And the show. Funny, smart, used nuggets only Edmontonians would get. I laughed until it was over.I would absolutely recommend this joint to anyone looking to have a fabulous night out and look forward to going back the next time!

I just want to say what an amazing show on Jan 17. This was my first time here and a gift, I didn't know what to expect. The owners and their team blew my partner and I away. It's been a long time since we've laughed so hard. We began to plan our next visit to your location before the show even finished. Keep up the amazing work!
