RBC Royal Bank

by far the worst bank in Ottawa. they are a huge corporation and apparently they cannot afford to fix or use the Air conditioning on a 27+ hot day. The dollar store had AC! on top of that one of their employee Micheal Lewis will treat you like you're a criminal! Also apparently the hours of operations doesn't apply to them, they can open whenever they want since they open 10 mins late in the morning either.

Friday 10 to 15 RBC clients stood outside for almost an hour. Only 2 tellers working with two trainee's.Come on already. Stop being paranoid. And call it being cautious.We pay good money to do banking there.If you are not willing to provide good and prompt services. Close down that location.

***Very poor customer service. ***One staff member in particular is not curteous and treats you as if you were a contract artist.I felt like someone with no credibility who came begging for money, when I was just there to activate my bank card for the first time...The teller acted like a bouncer, had no manners whatsoever, gave me the runaround when that could have been totally avoided!Aa a new customer of RBC, I am not impressed at all with this branch.

I have been banking with RBC since the late 1990s and this is, by far, the worst branch. I have had issues, minor, in the past but today was different. I booked an appointment to complete an online transaction that required my personal signature... should take less that 10 minutes, I was told. Arrived at the bank 10 minutes early and at the time of my appointment was told the guy was double booked and I was being booted. The suggestion the reception person gave was that I sit and wait in hope that he may be able to see me before his next appointment. Totally unimpressed. This treatment of a customer is deplorable.

We were recommended RBC by a barista we met yesterday and what a recommendation!Having just got to Canada we were worried we wouldn't be able to set up a bank account without a Canadian phone number or social insurance but RBC went above and beyond!We were served by Marcelline, an intern who is there working for the summer but she did everything to make setting up an account quick, painless and hassle free.She was incredibly warm and friendly, hugely generous with her time (she moved things to allow us an appointment then and there, rather then us having to come back or wait for hours) and so knowledgeable!Marcelline ran through all the options available to us and made sure we got the best account for us and our situation, and got everything set up for us including our temporary cards in one concise appointment.Thank you!

This is the worst bank and the worst customer service ever, I went to the banks because I need it some cash and they have a limit of $3000, so I had to go to another bank branch but they just made me wait over 20 min, I gave them ID and they asked for but I got no money and on top of that they blocked all access to my account even on line, I have zero access to MY MONEY, the phone customer service person cannot help me , now I have to go to the bank and deal with it in person, so what I will do is just cancel the account and take MY MONEY and get a better service bank. this is the worse of the worse, everybody should take their money and see what they do then. It all god when they take your money but I soon as you want to make a withdrawal they make it impossible for you. NEVER AGAIN ROYAL BANK

If you want to join a bank you can trust, RBC is for you! I have been with them for 2 years now and they are always so kind and understanding of every life situation. Every location is the same amazing A+ Customer service and the managers go above and beyond to accommodate you and more importantly are available to talk to you. I recently had problems with A gym taking unauthorized money from my account and they were so kind (even though I let out my frustrations on them a little bit, they took it with a smile and made my day) and helped me out. RBC always exceed my expectations and make my life so much easier, providing advice and courses on how to save and use online banking. I swear you will not regret trusting RBC for all your banking needs!!

Jillian was very helpful, friendly, fast and efficient! Was able to help with some incorrectly addressed money orders and didn’t charge extra fees for the fix

Incredibly slow. There is not enough tellers working for the amount of foot traffic.In addition, all their ATMs weren’t working. It’s really sad given the amount of people soon to be living close to the byward (6 condos/apartments are being built right now).They seriously need to increase the speed of transactions.
