Harmony Valley Conservation Area & Off-Leash Dog Park

Love this dog park but some people are ignorant.. I wish everyone would follow the rules and keep their dogs on leashes in on-leash areas. Also, it’s a dog park, not a playground. If you choose to bring your toddler, don’t get mad at me if they get knocked down..

I do wish people would respect the ON LEASH area. Some dogs get spooked easily when another dog comes running up behind them out of nowhere. Not all of use use breeders. Some dogs are rescues and behave differently than the average good background dog.Stay in the proper areas or stop being selfish and leash your pup up! Also, pick up your dog's sh!t. You're their pawrent"

Haven't been here in a few years after my dog passed. But it never gets old. It's great to be able to walk your dog off the leash to enjoy the freedom of beauty and to enjoy the beauty of freedom! Free! There is also an area where your dog has to be on a leash. For those of you who prefer or feel safer in that environment.

Beautiful area, lots of walking areas and trees.Dog owners often rude and do not control their dogs. Had 2 dogs jump on me with owners not doing anything.I’m not scared of dogs at all but now I have to take precautions because of the aggressive animals.Be cautious of taking kids here, dogs are often off leash in on leash areas and dog owners are oblivious.

(Pros): On-Leash Areas, Off-Leash Areas, lots of parking, Huge and more than one trail, community engaged area, compost areas, lost and found box, community board, fresh water creeks (no garbage and junk in surrounding areas, poop bags local almost everywhere, & washroom.(Cons): the parking lot has some potholes and it’s narrow for entrance and all the way through. Sometimes people do not follow the rules of on-leash and off-leash areas. Stating their dogs are, “trained”. But the law ticket officers are ticketing people for that reason! There isn’t anything for the puppy’s to run and jump on in the small gated area.Overall it’s a really good park to walk through and there’s TONES of shade in the summer time! Puppies won’t overheat! Plus the water creeks and ponds! Cool off!

Very rare to find a park with the variety of walking/bike trails like this one. Amazing place to walk the dogs, best dog park in Southern Ontario. The people and animals are all great. To bad they are going to bulldoze this sanctuary to put in a road that'll go nowhere.

My dog absolutely loves this dog park. She has not had any issues with other dogs.1. Other dog walkers are so friendly, we're all here to keep our dogs happy.2. So many different trails to keep it interesting.( although if it has rained, wear crappy shoes as this place gets muddy)3. The water is usually very clean and my dog enjoys swimming here4. DONT FORGET YOUR BUG SPRAY AND ENJOY YOUR WALK!! :)

Great park in the middle of Oshawa! There are off leash spaces in the park as well as a fenced area of your dog is still working on recall like ours! The off leash dog area is more open and dogs and other owners seem comfortable interacting with each other. I've encountered friendly trained dogs and responsible owners so would highly recommend! However if you puppy is still training for recall and leash manners not a great place as even in on leash areas most pups run off leash and come greet your puppy! Our puppy is still learning recall and leash manners so we only take him as an occasional treat as he loves other dogs!Parking is somewhat limited but we've not had too much trouble. The path is good and lots of paths go deeper into the forest if you enjoy that! For a dog park owners have also kept it quite clean and picked up after their dog.Lovely park, must try for dogs ! Be sure to be responsible with your pup and pick up after them to maintain this space!

I really like this place. Everything a 'dog park' should be. Decent sized area of off leash trails in a beautiful woodland setting.
