Everything is normal when you move-in, BUT when you move out they find ways to charge you like 5hrs of cleaning, $20 extra for cleaning materials! And ~$100 carpet cleaning for a clean apt. Also they are not good and maintenance

All of my experiences with Don and his team have been exceptional any issues that I have had (only 2) have been dealt with in a timely fashion and in a satisfactory manner. Great people to deal with. Highly recommend

My stay in Alberta could not have been possible without the help Sun Country Rentals provided in helping me find a furnished place for my contrat job! Ended up staying a bit longer and changing roommates and Sun Country didn't make things complicated. They were always so responsive and were able to answer our questions. Moving in and moving out was easy. Would definitely stay again!

Terrible communication on move out - charged cleaning

By far thee Best Rental company in my opinion. Flexible helpful, and friendly. When the owners of the unit I was renting decided to move back, Sun Country found me a new unit in the same building a couple weeks later. Smooth transition from one unit to another. They helped take care of the cleaning and arranged carpet cleaning at a reasonable cost.Only thing I could say is if it’s not perfect service, it’s probably you, not them! They are Awesome!

Sun Country Rentals made my move from Ontario to Red Deer for a contract job so easy! They helped me find a place right near my work and got all the paperwork done in advance so I was able to move in as soon as I arrived in Red Deer. They were a pleasure to deal with and quick to deal with any issues that came up. The option of furnished/unfurnished places as well as the short term lease options made it ideal for my situation. Would absolutely rent from them again if ever back in Alberta.

I rented a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom, 85m2, for over a year from them. At check out, it was noted that there was dust and the apartment needs cleaning and so do the carpets. Sounds fair. They charged me $42.9 every hour and apparently it took them 10 hours to clean this tiny apartment. This cleaning is beside the carpet cleaning (another $140). If it sounds unfair is because it is. The apartment was barely dusty and didn't have any trash or any dirt in it. I got a cleaning service (which cost me only $80) 3 weeks before handing the apartment over to them, and I didn't live in that apartment for those weeks.This company tries to overcharge you with anything to save themselves a couple of dollars over valuing their reputation. Please find any other place to rent and save yourself from feeling ripped off.

The place was in poor condition when moved in the bath tub was full of lint and they expected us to return it spotless.... and took all damage deposit. The storage unit which was never used was at first great condition" but then upon return "dusty"

Was great but then I move out, the inspection was perfect I was a model tenant, place was cleaner than when I got it, everything was perfect. But then they charged me 2 hours of cleaning with zero explanation, not worth my time fighting with them to get the rest of my damage deposit back. I emailed them but they ignored it and I moved on and decided I would just not recommend them to anybody. Too bad too my apartment was nice.

I was a client of Sun Country Rentals for almost 3 years. Having rented from other property management companies and being extremely disappointed with the experience, I was hesitant in dealing with another property management company! I reluctantly decided to proceed with renting from Sun Country and can say that it was an excellent experience. All of the staff are professional, courteous and invested in their roles and providing good customer service. Don provided me different rental options when I first started viewing properties to ensure I got exactly what I was looking for. They do regular maintenance of the furnaces, smoke detectors, weather stripping etc., and work quickly to get any issues resolved in a timely manner. They are very responsive to emails and phone calls and I always felt listened to in my communications with them. They were very accommodating as well, by removing the in suite washer and dryer so I could use my own. My security deposit was returned in the allotted time as outlined in the Residential Tenancies Act also. If you’re looking for a property management company that genuinely cares about their properties and actually screen for good tenants, look no further as Sun Country Rentals will not disappoint.
