Typical room not crazy expensive, bed sorta sucked, my friends two rooms over had better beds, bigger room. Trail was right there so no bare parking lot to Sled over. Lots of room for trailers.

I definitely would give 5 stars just for shower even. Water was so strong, washing down my tiredness from a long trip. I slept like a rock, too. Thank you for saving my trip.

*if your room is dirty take pictures or you wont get a refund* When i got to my room the beds where nasty i went to the desk to tell them that i didnt wanted to stay here bc the beds where nasty. The owner told me to wait at the desk while he went to go check he took the cleaning lady and another person with him. After 5 minutes he calls the desk to tell me to go to the room to show him where it was dirty. So i went back to the room and there he was with the cleaning lady and another dude asking me what was dirty when i went to go check they cleaned it said they cant provide a refund bc i failed to show them what was wrong with the room. Owner is very unethical and dishonest beware. Spend a few more dollars stay somewhere else

So, let's start by stating this is a motel off the highway. The rooms are spacious and clean enough, HVAC (ac as it was 90f) worked.It was not perfect, one of the two rooms had well worn beds and housekeeping forgot to replace the tp... Still if I was passing through it's a reasonable choice and cost effective.

I think all of the negative reviews might be for the Thriftlodge across the road (I believe also owned by Travelodge so I can see how it can be confusing). I have stayed at the Travelodge (beside the A&W and gas station) a few times now and my experience has always been great! We came 8 hours away to go Snowmobiling and I let them know I would arrive around 1am. They gave me instructions right at the time of booking, saying how I can get my key and also followed up the night we were coming to make sure I had all the information needed which I really appreciated. The rooms are all very large and very clean. My sled broke down on the 3rd night of our 5 night stay so we unfortunately had to leave early. I went to the front desk to see if I could get refunded, even though I was cancelling the same day. They had to contact the back office for a refund but I was refunded literally within the hour. The lady working at the front desk is always super nice and helpful and I can't think of anything bad to say about my previous experiences here

First thing I want to note, Dogs are not welcome at this travelodge, THAT IS NOT PART OF THE COMPLAINT, that information is only in the fine print and not made obvious, but that mistake falls on me at the end of the day, just leaving that note here so anyone else is aware. My complaints starts with the quality of the rooms, while clean the lights in our room didn't work only the lamps did, so it was fairly dark in our room during our stay, My parents who were in another room, were had to move at 9:30pm after arriving at 8pm because the water did not work in there room and they couldn't shower. Lastly I want to mention customer service, I went to ask for help to the front desk and the door was locked and no one was in the office? they didn't have like a door bell or any way of contacting them except for the phone in your room, which is a little disappointing so if your planning on not booking and showing up last minute there is no way of getting a room if they aren't in the office. and the bed are very uncomfortable. Nice size parking lot if you are traveling with big Uhal like we were.

Great place to stay. Rooms are large clean and bright. Beds were comfy WiFi worked great. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Much better than the Thirftlodge across the road.

First off I want to mention that I think many of the poor reviews “might” actually be for the Thriftlodge. My husband and I have been to both. NO comparison. Have been coming to Travelodge Cochrane for several years now. Rooms and bathrooms have been updated, clean and of good size. Beds could be better but have had worse; much worse. It’s difficult for motels to keep rooms like new when much of the clientele are groups of men away for a guy’s weekend. It’s the nature of the motel business in the North. Customer service and staff are fantastic. Helpful and friendly people who genuinely want you to enjoy your stay. Was a little disappointed that the A&W vouchers were replaced by a limited free breakfast but not a big deal. Overall a great place to stay for a great sledding experience. Thank you Neelam.
