The Murray Premises Hotel

One of my favourite places to stay. Great accommodations, great service.

Location couldn’t be better. I’m reading the other reviews maybe we had an upgraded room because it was very nice with a king size comfy bed. Fabulous shower with towel warmer and mood fireplace. Very VERY friendly front desk staff.

The hotel and rooms are beautiful. Great location, you can access water street through the back of the courtyard and harbour from the front. The staff are really friendly and accommodating. I stayed in the Jacuzzi room. I’m 6’5 and I was able to comfortably fit in the jacuzzi with my partner. You can buy a bottle of Prosecco from the front desk. It has a nice view of the courtyard. The walls are a bit thin I guess - I could hear the conversations happing in the room above me in the morning. However didn’t really impact my stay. All in all was a great experience and I’ll be booking with them again.

Great ambiance, cozy, but this hotel is in dire need of renovations.Very bad lighting in the room with only one lightbulb at the door, and lamps for the rest of the room, considering our room was a one window room, it was dark pretty much all day.Loose fixtures all over the bathroom, and a dangerous bathtub, and sandpaper like toilet paper, I wasn't expecting 4 ply but come on!The bed was queen size, a low cost spring mattress, same for the bedding which was cheap and the pillows had barely any filling in them, like hospital ones.The air conditionning was very loud, even on low setting, and impractical.The hotel offers continental" breakfast: in short some tasty muffins

This hotel has the best baths in town - get the executive king room with the whirlpool jaccuzzi, it's worth it. The rooms are nice with very comfy beds, the hotel staff are fantastic, and the property is in a great location downtown.

Room was large and clean but a bit odd in layout. Hotel was a bit dated, but that is the experience you would expect. Disappointed that “breakfast” was some muffins or yogurt. Location was great, right in the center if everything. Important to book reservations days before you arrive for restaurants. They book up fast. We are at the Celtic hearth and we’re happy with the meal.

Dated hotel, spotted a shrew on the corridor. The continental breakfast was a variety of muffins fruit and yoghurt. Not exactly what you would expect. Nothing wrong with the muffins... Spacious king size bed.

The historic building is lovely and in a great location for quick access to restaurants, shops, and George Street. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We loved the wood beams and exposed brick walls in our room, a very unique but wonderful stay.

If you're looking to experience downtown St. John's in style, this is the spot. The staff are super accommodating and helpful, the rooms are fancy, and it's walking distance from basically everything.Plus, as a Hotels Gold member, there were two frosty beers awaiting me in my fridge and 15% off a meal at the Gypsy Tea Room.Can't wait to come back.
