The Spa At 160

Not impressed. I booked a luxury manicure my appointment was at 1pm I was out of the building at 1:48 pm. The luxury manicure is an hour long service which was not provided. The manicure was okay.. I did have a few spots where nail polish was on my skin and some nails had bubbles on them. It didn’t look like a professional had done them. For the price I was expecting more. The staff was kind of friendly. The person doing my manicure also told me “we don’t have the tools to remove shellac”. But they offer shellac nail polish at the salon.. so I’m not sure how that makes sense. I also over heard a conversation with another client who was getting a pedicure and the person told her “I can do a full pedicure but I can’t take off the shellac so I can match the colour and put it over top”. The customer agreed which I found extremely strange. Anyway, I won’t be returning. I’ve paid less and had way better experiences at a few other places in Guelph!

Got a gift certificate for Christmas. I tried to use it but I guess they expire after 7 years! I didn’t think they did. My gift certificate is from 2013. Such a shame!!

I had a gift certificate from Christmas for $245, so I booked in a treatment that was $217 from the website and thought I could use the extra for a pedicure or something later. When I went to give my certificate at the end of the treatment I was told I owed $160 more. Apparently the treatment I received was worth $400 unbeknownst to me as I booked the $217 treatment. If I book a $217 treatment, that’s what I expect to receive. Seems very dishonest, I did pay the extra, but won’t be going back. Make sure you double check which treatment you are receiving before you start.

I was blown away by this amazing hidden gem! I am hooked! I already am planning my next visit! I got a massage and body treatment as well as finished off in the hydro tub so relaxing and professional. Everything was so clean and perfect! I came on Christmas Eve and it was amazing to treat myself before the chaotic holidays! I highly recommend !

Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience at The Spa at 160. We went here for my aunt’s 50th birthday and we’re looking forward to a great experience. The staff was friendly, but the quality of work we received was not worth the price. We received a shellac manicure and it didn’t even last a whole week, nail polish started peeling off after 2 days. The quality we received was poor, the nail polish didn’t even go all the way to the cuticle, it wasn’t applied nicely, there were spots missed, and there was nail polish left on our fingers. When we asked for things to be fixed, we were told “it would be fine”. We were disappointed with our service and won’t be returning.

Had my hair done here for my wedding in June. When I explained what I wanted, the owner (who was doing my hair) was resistant and tried to do what he wanted. Honestly, I didn’t want to ruin my day so I compromised on my vision. I didn’t feel like my hair reflected me.But worst of all, the owner was making inappropriate racist and sexualised comments to bridesmaid in another party the entire time he was doing my hair. I wish I had said something in the moment because everyone was really uncomfortable.

Fantastic service and care given during our time at the spa. We booked a girls day out here and they were able to accommodate us so we could all get our treatments at the same time. If your looking to treat yourself then go to The Spa at 160.

I had a pedicure here today. They did a great job. The ambiance of the spa was nice. I would definitely come back.

There seems to mixed reviews but I can say I that I give 5stars. I had an appointment elsewhere for a facial fall through and they were able to fit me in at the end of their day. They were super friendly when called. My face was super dehydrated and needed a good scrub when I showed up and now I'm glowing. No high pressure product sales is also something I really liked. I was shown the products that was best for me but no push.I will be back.
