I've had a great experience with RBC Port Moody. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I've had private meetings with different staff members and they all took the time to explain everything I needed to know with care and understanding. Shelley and Ali were so nice to me I truly felt that they care about me and my financial needs. Customer care and service are very high on my list on what attracts me to curtain businesses and this branch has gone above and beyond. So thank you all for being there for me. I truly appreciate it

I had forgotten my client card PIN number. I asked for setting up a new one. The teller said it is not possible because I have Saskatchewan Driver’s Licence not the BC one and I have to apply for a new BC Driver’s Licence in order to change my PIN!!!I get the job done easily in another branch in 10 minutes without any issues.

Horrible customer service. Other comments about lazy management are very accurate. Had them question a cheque from a high profile company written from another RBC account and questioning me on how I obtained it, and they outright refused it. They also refused to cash my work cheque which I cash every 2 weeks. Tried to tell me they can't verify I've cashed the cheques before. A LIE, I can see images of every cheque I cash online! I emptied my accounts and closed 2/3 of my accounts due to the HORRENDOUS service I received. Management insisted it was the cheque issuers mistake/problem. Went to another branch on Como Lake, was helped by lovely ladies and it solved in 20min or less. They also cashed my regular work cheque as per usual.Absolutely avoid this branch if you have anything more complicated then a simple transaction, they are ignorant and lazy at best. Go to Como Lake, the service there is amazing Everytime.

This review is long overdue. I visited this branch in June while in town on a job (I live in West Kelowna) and Dennis Matsuda was the Manager of Client Care at the time. I see that he is now the Assistant Branch Manager in Maple Ridge, and from my experience, rightfully so! I was in the middle of purchasing our first home, and our realtor had advised that I would be able to make the deposit funds available to him in the form of a bank draft at my Kelowna branch for pick up.Unfortunately, the first RBC branch I visited that morning told me that this was not possible (the branch on the Barnet Hwy at Johnson St). I called my realtor on the spot and he said he had done this before with RBC for other clients and for me to ask again. The teller was polite but firm in saying they wouldn't do this due to some vague reason. I became upset since time was of the essence and asked her to please ask her boss or supervisor. The answer was no. With tears in my eyes, I left and decided to try the Port Moody branch. I was especially upset because I had moved all my accounts and funds from another bank to RBC because I had heard great things, and felt that this minor thing should be so simple to do.So as soon as I got to the Port Moody location I asked to speak with a manager, and was promptly welcomed by Dennis Matsuda, into his office for privacy as he could tell I was upset. I explained everything, including the urgency and how I needed to get to my client's shortly. He simply called my contacts at the Kelowna branch explaining that I was there with him, and the situation, and as expected, my lovely Kelowna contact, Leslie Mellander, jumped into action and made it happen for me in a matter of minutes. I just had to show my ID and sign a couple of forms which Dennis then sent to Leslie as proof. All my stress was wiped away and my faith in RBC was renewed, just like that. It really is that simple, provide outstanding customer service and customers will be happy!So, thank you SO much to Dennis Matsuda for turning my day around 100%, I'll always be grateful. It's only a matter of time before you become a Branch Manager!! You are a true and genuine professional and I wish you all the best in your future endeavours. And thank you to the Port Moody RBC branch for having hired Dennis in the first place!

Some of the employees here are extremely unprofessional. They make the weirdest small talks with you ask you a series of personal questions and judge you afterwards. I get it, you need to ask the questions when I’m depositing money. But don’t say things like “Quite a bit of money from doing (my job)”. And it’s “What’s your occupation?” Not “What’s your vacation?”This, this is a weird little branch. I go out of my way to go to the branch near Coquitlam Centre. That branch is managed like a bank, not a mob cash joint.

Port Moody branch, June 29 2023, 2:00 pm. Waited 45 minutes in the line to deposit a bank draft. The branch had one staff and one manager on the counter who were chatting and laughing unrelated stuff while the queue had about 8-10 people. A couple of seniors couldn't wait any longer and left. I asked for the manager's name card and she seemed not care.

I try to go to other branches when I need in-person things to be done. I experience too many mistakes from this branch. Takes weeks to get an email response from Roshan.Poor management and training.

I’ve been a student pilot since May of 2020 but was getting charged a service fee each month as if I wasn’t. I was gladly paid back for 6 months of getting my hard earned money skimmed by RBC for holding it but would be nice to get the rest paid back so that I can put it towards textbooks and my student pilot flights. Just facts. I know RBC does millions of dollars in community outreach and charity and advertising presentation - so start with doing the right thing with the people that give their money. Please help if you’re reading this. Thank you!

I don't usually write reviews but the customer service that I received from Mohammed of RBC Port Moody prompted me to do so. He was very helpful and even called his colleague to make sure that all my options were explored. If anyone would like the 5 star treatment from a bank rep, don't hesitate to go to Mohammed!
