I took my mothers watch to Newport Jewelers for a new band and battery. Minimum purchase but it is an important watch to me. I had a positive experience they were very nice and were not trying to push me in any direction. Very helpful and knowledgeable.

Do not recommend! Very unhelpful, minimal effort to assist, and very dismissive attitude on my personal taste. I was informed that my choice was cheap and ugly and I didn't know what I was talking about. You would be better off going to Walmart over this store.

Newport Jewelers broke the glass of my watch trying to put in a new battery. Then simply replaced the domed glass with flat glass, because they were too cheap to special order the domed one. Any criticism is met with “We have been in business for 40+years!”We’ll, if you are, don’t break it in the first place and don’t take the easy way out.These folks won’t do right by their customers. Should have listened to the previous reviews. Do yourself a favor and avoid this glorified pawn shop. Drive to Stowe or St.J instead.

Super rude, damage d my ring denied it went to fix it he ruin beyond fixing took the silver right off and then turned around and called my stuff worthless garbage, will never set foot in there again

Went to the shop with a ton of sentimental jewelry that belonged to my grandmother. Almost every piece was broken and severely damaged. The woman behind the counter was very understanding and very reassuring that the repairs to all the jewelry pieces would barely be noticeable. When my grandmother's jewelry was returned to me it looked as though it was brand new! I couldn't have been more pleased. I will definitely continue to do business here, as good jewelers are so hard to come by. I always support local businesses and trades, as it's good for the community.

The jewelry at the shop is tasteful. However, if you’re a local you know the owner has a reputation for being exceptionally rude to customers. As the other reviews will attest, the maintenance and repair work is less-than-stellar. Unfortunately, it’s the only jewelry shop in the area, so most of us return for lack of choice, but if you’re able, I recommend making the trip to TM Jewelers in Littleton instead.

I took my new to me ring to be resized. I love the people here, they have cleaned my ring for free 2x in the past, even though I did not buy the ring there. They give good advise, so when I needed this ring resized I thought of them. Well, they did a great job, no sign of the change that was made, and the ring was ready faster than they promised. The price was good I know it seems odd that some people have such a different experience, but mine was really good!

I brought in a multi stand silver bracelet for repair this summer. When it was finished it was so poorly done that several of the strands were stuck together and my bracelet was virtually ruined. I brought it to another jeweler and they were able to repair some of the damage done by Newport jewelers but not all of it. It cost me15.00 for the repair ( which the jewelers wife threw back at me minus the tax when I pointed out the bad repair job) 35.00 for another jeweler that couldn't repair all of the damage done and my bracelet will never be like it was.
