My parents just bought a ride on lawn mower and left it up to me to look into. I reached out via email and Shelley responded. Could not be happier she did! She was a pleasure to deal with answered all my questions promptly. I don't often leave reviews as customer service has really hit rock bottom but this experience with the Mercers North location was totally painless and what I would expect when purchasing any item let alone a lawn tractor. Thanks Shelley for helping us out and I would without question recommend this establishment

I Highly recommend dealing with Mercer Equipment.The staff are friendly and are always helpful . I had a problem with an equipment I purchased else where and they serviced me like I bought the unit there.Shelley always returned my emails and was very helpful into solving my problem. Shelley always went beyond the call of duty to help out. The service and repair team where very helpful and easy to work with.Mercer Equipment is a great dealership to purchase and repair all your yard equipment. Prices where comparable to the big box stores .

I have repaired a snowblower here at the request of the manufacturer as this is the only place they have in Barrie. It was returned back to me after the repairs in April with a $450 invoice.Since there was no snow after the blower was returned, I couldnt test it until last week(Mid November). I took it out and machine stopped working in less than minute. I called them back and was told that they won’t cover the repairs because it is more than 6 months. I didn’t know that I had to take it to northern Ontario to test the skill set of their experienced technicians back in April itself. I have trusted you guys. Even the repairs offered by technicians through Kijiji and fb marketplace offers seasonal warranty on their repairs. Please beware if you are considering repairing here. If your equipment is here for repairs already please make sure it is retuned before the season is over so that you can test it before their service warranty expires. Excellent way of doing business!. (Hopefully the person who responds to all 1star reviews here won’t blame this on covid too)Response to mercer’s reply: did you come fill it with gas after I drained it before storing it? Don’t make assumptions. Did I complain about the warranty repairs or non-warranty repairs. I said the repairs you completed did not fix the issue. Own your mistakes. I am sure people who read your responses will make an informed decision as all your responses puts the blame on others. Wow! What a business! Continue operating this way until it bites back.

Very disappointed in this company. We brought a brand new Toro zero turn last year. (Think 6000-7000 unit) Our drive belt went at 35 hours so I called Mercer to replace it. They were wonderful when we bought the unit. I asked if the belt should last longer than the 35 hours we put on it and was told that it should for sure last longer so I asked if there was a discount on the new belt. I was put on hold and then told that the service manager said if I bring it in to make sure there is nothing wrong with the pulleys that the belt would be free and covered under warranty, otherwise I had to pay the full 96 dollars for the belt. My husband took off the afternoon to drive the unit 45 minutes to Barrie (mostly for peace of mind that the pulleys were in good shape). They called my husband a week later to say the unit was ready and we owed 230 dollars. I tried to reach the service manager numerous times and the only person she would call back was my husband (who never had a conversation with anyone, wasn't dealing with the situation and runs an excavator). I called and left two messages along with MY phone number with Bonnie who answered the phone. I was assured that I would get a call back from the service manager that day. Of course that call never happened. On the weekend, I argued with service dept. (nice guy named Ander that was following what his service manager said) that we were told that everything would be covered under warranty and they told me the service manager said we had to pay. I noted I never authorized any work to be done, that if the belt wasn't covered under warranty that we would have bought the belt and picked the unit up. We were told that they could not release the unit unit the full amount was paid. We went down to pick up the unit and paid the balance owing to Ander. He admitted that no one had written warranty" on the work order so they just performed the service. So not only did we take an afternoon to drive 45 minutes

My wife and I would like to thank all the staff at the Barrie North Store for their wonderful service. It starts with the quick email response I received from Pander to my question about your Battery Lawn Mowers. I was impressed that I not only received a response during the first business day after I sent in my question, but also that the response was detailed and very helpful. The quick and professional response to my email prompted my wife and I to go to the store on Currie St. in Barrie and follow up on our potential purchase of a new Cordless Electric Mower. I believe the gentleman at the counter who first greeted us and helped us make our ultimate selection was Aaron (my apologies if I got that wrong). The assistance he provided was awesome and ultimately convinced us that we were dealing with a professional company that dealt with quality products. Unfortunately I did not get the name of the other kind individual who came out of the back shop and assembled our new mower for us. He brought it out to our vehicle and gave us a demonstration to ensure we were comfortable in how to use it when we got home. It is such a pleasure dealing with friendly and professional individuals at your Barrie North Store. Thank you !!!

Want to give a huge shoutout to Dylan in Service Department. I have a snowblower that I thought needed warranty repair and after speaking with Dylan I found out that it was an owner repair issue not covered under warranty. Saved me the cost of a repair and transportation . Thanks Dylan!
