So I’m going to start this off by saying the haircut I got was okay. Not the best I’ve gotten and not the worst.What really put a sour taste in my mouth was the behaviour of the stylist. A couple of examples1) talked about her family’s history of drug abuse including rehab2) disparaged people who worked from home during the pandemic (of which I am one of those people)3) shared some pretty controversial political viewsAll in all I felt rather uncomfortable about the whole thing. Won’t be returning.

I went to Luxe spa this Saturday and I had such a fantastic experience!The owner Allison was so warm and kind as i walked in when she greated me.Nina was my stylist and she has been doing my hair for 2 years! I commute from half way across the city to come see her.She did a colour correction on me and made my hair a beautiful chocolate brown with light ginder tone accents !Highly recommend!

Had various issues with hair and decided to seek treatment for the first time. Sharon M. made the initial treatment pretty straightforward and to the point. Very good.

I would rate it lower if I could. Alli Dunfield (aka the owner of this business) is homphobic. Went online and agreed with a rant, from another local Ottawa business owner, denouncing Pride Month and saying it is inappropriate for children to see gay love or be around drag queens. This is hateful and ignorant and should not be tolerated. See Marc Papineau (local Ottawa realtor) on his Instagram for proof and to be aware of other businesses you should avoid !!!!!!!

Nina Berry is the absolute best for waxing! I will never go anywhere else but here, definitely recommend booking with Nina !

I booked a Brazilian three weeks in advance as my regular sugarist is off for two months. I’ve been sugaring every 3.5 weeks for over 10 years therefore am used to this procedure.The sugarist quickly sugared the area and when I was getting dressed I noticed that she had missed many hairs. I met her upfront and explained this to her. She agreed to start over and explained that she had missed these white hairs (I’m 57) because of poor lighting as the other technician had the lamp in her room ! This surprised me as my appointment had been scheduler way in advance - I would expect that the lighting would be adequate. When I got home I had to pluck over 35 hairs out of the areas that had been missed twice !! Paying $67 and having such poor results is very disappointing. When I discussed how disappointed I was with the receptionist (not sure if she was the owner ) she said she would make sure the good light would be in the room for my next appointment???? I will not be returning. Also, I was handed a card with the information necessary to send a tip electronically to the sugarist after all of this which is really in poor taste ….

I was so fortunate to have Joanna save my hair after a bad cut. She is extremely thorough in her work and amazingly kind. The front staff is very accomodating and friendly. I felt very taken care of and I have immense trust in her. I will definitely be returning for future appointments.

Joanne did a beautiful job on my daughter's hair. She is also so kind and chatty which my daughter loves!

I saw Nina. Very good experience. I have thick hair , and she did a fantastic job to thin them out so they are better manageable. Everyone loved the way she styled my hair. Very pleasant personality and takes the time to work with the client.

Beautiful, clean, bright salon! I saw Nina and she did amazing. I left a completely changed person. Nina listened to what I wanted and helped me achieve the result ending with a beautiful ice blonde colour (in one appointment! I must add that I was already blonde)The owner is so nice and I was super happy to leave as my bill was way less than I thought it would be! I will now be going to Luxè as my regular salon.
