Mountain View Building Materials Calgary

We recently went to Mountain View Building Materials to get material for our upcoming home renovations and our salesman was amazing to deal with! Justin was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and he got our product incredibly fast despite the current supply chain issues. We got the product home and looked it over and it all looks amazing. Can't wait to get it installed. Cannot recommend Justin and his team enough!

Amazing team and best shop in town for building materials. Brad and the team (sales, admin and yard staff were awesome to deal with) were super helpful with our deck, had more material than anyone else in town, and very fair pricing. Don’t waste your time elsewhere.

This is a genuine no nonsense review.We have no clue about decks or materials, and spent literally two weeks dealing with three companies in Calgary trying to just get some simple information and pricing.We were getting the runaround, and would get a price over the phone, but once it was time to come in would be completely different.I found Justin and the team at Mountainview and what a difference. They were patient, attentive, made recommendations, and were excellent to deal with. No issues or surprises from these guys. Moving forward I'm only recommending this company to family and friends and will not be going anywhere else I the future.Take the drive just outside the city and see what I mean.

I have had an account with Mountain View for over 5 years. Each dealing they exceed my expectations. I have used their pick up and delivery service for years and each time I find the quality of lumber and service amazing with every employee being fun and easy to deal with. The sales team is knowledgeable in all their products which is a big help in managing the cost and efficiency of any project. I’ve gone to other suppliers for the last few pieces of jobs and found that the quality is not even close in comparison to Mountain View.

I had a few questions about some upcoming renovations. Justin, the associate I spoke with was very professional and most helpful. I would defiantly recommend Mountain View on account of their friendly and engaging staff.

Had a great experience with Mountain View BM. Prices are competitive with the big box stores and service is 1000% better.I was originally worried that, because I'm not a contractor ordering large quantities, I wouldn't be prioritized as a customer and the service would suffer. BUT this wasn't my experience at all. After calling MV with a few questions, Justin suggested that I send in an email materials list, and he replied with a quote either the same or the next day. Justin was always patient and friendly as I adjusted the quote for some changing project requirements, and always got back to me quickly, both by email and phone.Once I placed the order, it was dispatched quickly (within a week) at a very reasonable delivery cost. The delivery driver was very friendly, called ahead to give me plenty of heads up when he would arrive, and was accomodating and helpful about some tricky drop locations for very heavy items. The order was fulfilled accurately and the quality of materials was top notch (don't think I had a single wasted board).The only issue was a lack of stock on certain items that I was looking for (but this is 2021, so that's par for the course) and Justin always made an effort to find me suitable substitutes and was willing to discuss options with me over the phone. Never felt rushed or pressured.All in all, great experience. Will definitely order from them again for the next building project.

Earlier this year I started researching composite deck materials for a planned two tier backyard deck at our new home. I stumbled upon a product made by Deckorators called the Voyage line. This is a unique product which is a mineral based product that is 100% waterproof, had virtually no thermal expansion and contraction and it's design has built in extra traction. We have found that this summer the deck was still cool enough to walk on with bare feet when it was plus 30 in direct sunlight. It also offers outstanding grip when it is wet, unlike a lot of other composite brands out there. This product is quite a bit lighter than normal composite which really helps on the fascia as the tiny hidden screws that hold composite can pull through on other brands simply because of the weight and thermal expansion and contraction that happens.Justin was amazing to deal with right from the start. Due to covid craziness this took a while to get but the wait was worth it. My project kept evolving and Mountain View was more than willing to accommodate my needs. They even assured me that any extra material I purchased would be returnable with no restocking fees, which was much appreciated.I wouldn't even bother looking elsewhere for your building material needs.*Please note, the glass railings were not purchased from Mountain View Building Materials**
