O'Connor Equine

Ginny's program isn't called O'Connor Equestrian. It's called O'Connor Equine. And that's for a reason, I've always thought. Ginny is one of the most horse-focused trainers I've ever come across. Having watched her and worked with her for four years, I can say confidently that horses in her hands are healthier and happier for being in her program: with her, even the ones with baggage seem regularly to blossom into willing, happy athletes. Her training and teaching style is classically-based and cuts no corners. Riders in her program, whether owners or in her lesson program, learn to be good horsemen and horsewomen, good riders and good competitors, in the dressage ring and in the hunter/jumper ring. And (miracle of miracles -- we all know how rare this is) Ginny runs a happy, welcoming barn: it's fun and worthwhile for juniors and adults, beginners and serious riders. Highly recommend.

Ginny is an experienced and gifted horse person with dedication to the success of her clients and students. She ensures everyone is safety conscious and teaches her pupils true, hands-on horsemanship. No pulling up to a tacked up horse for a quick lesson and off again. She takes the time to coach from the ground up creating better horse people and giving children support as well as needed structure

My 7 and 5 year old did a one week summer camp and loved it! Virginia is very well organized and the atmosphere is fantastic! Highly recommend the summer camps.

Ginny is a fantastic teacher and knowledgeable horse women. I met her in 2018 on my search for a “pleasure horse” after being out of riding for 10 years. Ginny at one time owned and trained my horse Mojo. Skip ahead 4 years later and now I have a handsome well rounded pleasure, dressage, hunter horse thanks to Ginny’s expertise and training. She does all levels of teaching and training and would recommend her to anyone!
