My only complaint about this store is the rising prices of everyday items. But this is happening everywhere. Store is clean and fresh and pretty well laid out. I am in a wheelchair most days when I am out and the aisles are all spacious with enough room for two passing grocery carts with ample room. The store is kept very clean at all times. The freezer/cold section is also very clean and well maintained. This is very important to those of us with breathing issues. Once these refrigerators get old they leak freon gases which the average person doesn't notice. All of this makes for an incredible shopping experience.

I recently visited the brand new Metro Lincoln Heights location and was thoroughly impressed! The store is bright, clean, and well-stocked with all of the essentials.The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, making my shopping experience a breeze. I particularly appreciated the attention to detail and organization, making it easy to find what I was looking for. I will definitely be returning to this location in the future.

I missed the gents name in the meat department but what a great job he did!! I asked for a specific cut, and thickness, and he nailed it. It was ready for pickup when I got there a few hours later and I couldn't be happier. Great job.Went for my second time today and was thoroughly impressed with the service I got from Natasha at the seafood counter. Fantastic job with helping me and steaming my live lobster while I shopped. Thanks Natasha! I'll be in again soon.

I love the new metro. It is well laid out, spacious , clean and bright. However after shopping there with my sister following a three month hiatus in Mexico I had extreme sticker shock. I had to forego a few things on my list that I was going to use for a recipe because the produce was so elevated in price. Luckily I shop with a list and know how to be frugal. I really don’t know how the regular person or someone relying on disability or welfare can feed themselves. I always go over to Farmboy after for some things that I can’t get at metro. Farmboy is always pricier because of the quality . At least that had been my experience. However going straight from metro to farmboy I experienced another kind of sticker shock. Farmboy produce was significantly less money and sometimes as well you you opportunities to buy individual produce instead of while packages— more than you need or can afford. Metro is not considered a premium shopping experience but their prices are premium. We have decided to look elsewhere until metro is more in line.

This is one of the nicest supermarkets in Ottawa. It's brand new, replacing the older store that was adjacent to the Walmart before that building was demolished. It has spacious, uncluttered aisles, good lighting and a fine variety of food products. The cheese section is also large for this kind of store.

Really good selection and I like this new store layout compared to the old one in Lincoln Heights. Always clean store and I like that there are new products introduced. Friendly and helpful staff. Usually have sales on some items.

Empty shelves, long lines, no staff, etc. Everything that could be wrong with this store is wrong. Waste of time going as they never have anything on shelf or any cashes open. Absolutely maddening how a new store can be so terribly run.

I went to the new Metro in Lincoln Fields. It's very clean with a decent layout. A big selection, including vegan items, pretty well everything easy to find. And now at checkout, they offer your receipt printed or by email which is a nice option. I was concerned with the size of the parking lot, but I tend to go mostly in the evenings and never had any issues. I noticed an increase in prices, but that is the same everywhere unfortunately.

My concern is with the pizza department of the store. We ordered 2 pizzas (walk in special) the 2 people working didn't know what they were doing. They took more then 45min to make 2 pizzas and the pizzas looked horrible at the end. They need more training, the quality was not the same. I've been buying Pizzas from Metro for a long time and this was the worst.

Every time I buy from this store I get home and find at least 3 if not more expired items.. horrible experience shopping here. Don't want to even think of how much money was burned on items that should be up to date. It's front shelf items, not like it's hard to look and throw out if it's bad? I know it's part on me for not checking but being in a rush on most occasions doesn't make that the easiest thing to do. Also might want to disinfect your cheese displays. Half my cheeses go moldy within days of buying here. Never happens at other stores.
